I’m a tad confused - this young character Dagran - he calls Brann “Uncle Brann” , but he calls Magni "Gran’da - but I thought Magni and Brann were brothers - please explain what I got wrong here !
Magni’s Daughter ran away with the Dark Iron… Her son would make Mangi granddad and his brother Brann Uncle.

If Dangran has a child and Brann is still alive then he would be a great Uncle 
You are correct. Brann is Moira’s Uncle, so he is technically Great Uncle Brann to Dagran but people don’t generally add the “Great” part on in familiar conversation.

Yeah, makes sense. It’s dropped for ease-of-use.
If you run solo in WoW’s oldest dungeon “Blackrock Depths”.
You could see what happened.
Brann is his Great Uncle (Brann is Magni’s brother, if he was Moira’s brother than it’d be his Uncle).
But when talking to your Great Uncle you would say “Hello Uncle [insert name]”. My grandad had a brother Alfie and we called him Uncle Alfie. Partly because our parents called him Unlce Alfie but also becasue saying Great Unlce Alfie is a little formal and cumbersome.
Or ‘Grunkle’ as they would say in Gravity Falls.
