Daily make First Blood baseline thread

Hello this is a thread I made to beg to make First Blood baseline

while you’re on it Blizzard can you also make Cycle of Hatred and Demonic baseline as well?
they just perform so much better than the rest with the most consistent legendary
thanks

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but could you explain to me in a vacuum why First Blood baseline (and please ignore Chaos Theory in that explanation since borrowed power…not everybody uses it…it makes First blood mandatory yada yada) enhances DHs kit/rotation in any way other than you now press A instead of B sometimes. Because thats what GT Eyebeam etc already is.

Again don’t take this as some aggressive troll comment. I really don’t understand why everyone wants First Blood baseline.

To me it is super bland and just pushes an AoE Talent into ST rotation for the sake of it. Cycle of hatred on the other hand would be interesting baseline and give the DH core a theme in my opinion

Slightly more interesting Rotation, and it also does big wonders to DH Damage in PvP cause First Blood inside Demonic Windows is the only pressure you have outside of the easily stoppable Eye Beam.

It should get replaced with Bloodlet and Fel Barrage gets replaced with old Legion Chaos Blades. Leech gets back onto Metamorphosis by 20% atleast and the Class would look ten times better than it is now.

No you’re absolutely right it’s just A instead of B but variety of buttons to press is a good thing not a bad thing. DH is a new class for me in SL and at first I thought maybe it should stay a talent but after playing for a bit it gets very repetitive to just press two buttons when your long CDs are cooling down. I still like that the class has absolutely no downtime and that it’s fast and has a lot of cool out of combat stuff so I’d like to keep playing it (and I probably will regardless of whether FB is baseline or not). To me First Blood makes the class play like a more agile class not only because it’s a short cooldown that enhances the fast paced gameplay of DH but also because of the way it looks and feels.

There are many more talents that DH could have as baseline (as I mentioned Cycle of Hatred and Demonic but DH could also use their leech back for example) but First Blood is the worst offender for sure

Makes sense. Have you tried 20% haste felblade demon blades build? It sounds like the thing you are looking for (extra button) but has a reset mechanic tied to it and actually generates fury. I know you lose demons bite but that ability is a bore anyway. It frees up GCD to use utility.

To me first blood pushes our only button we don’t press whenever available into that position and suddenly no matter what you fight you do the exact same thing. I don’t know it just feels wrong to me.

If Firstblood is a talent that pushes Bladedance in to ST I would love for it to be something synergistic like Bladedance increases the damage of your next Chaos strike or what ever (hopefully something more inspired xD)

I play DH and Enhancer (melee addiction) and Hailstorm feels so satisfying. It puts so much synergy into the aoe rotation.

All Demon Blades do is reduce the amount of buttons you press by 1 more bringing it down to ONE and create a lot of downtime. Obviously I tried it but it’s boring.

First Blood basically makes a core DH ability usable. It’s not a recommended talent but an essential make or break choice without any competition in it’s row. Without First Blood you can remove Blade Dance from your action bar in any single target fight or any cleave fight, I THINK but I’m not sure it would be usable in 3+ target fights, it still retains usefulness in AoE scenarios with it’s improved Death Sweep form.

But this talent is so essential it makes or breaks a core DH skill.

It is a core AoE (filler) ability like whirlwind for warriors, spinning crane kick from monk or multishot for hunter.

I strongly disagree it does not need to be in the ST rotation just for the sacke of it. Cycle of hatred to me feels way better if you get the procs than Firstblood. (Thats why the 40% refund needs to be more deterministic like every x fury spend)

You always gain dmg on 3+ targets with Bladedance and 2+ for Deathsweep.

I really don’t think it is essential. It seems essential because Chaos Theory procs of of it which is a Design flaw. Because our legendary has synergy with a talent and not the core kit.
But i would blame Design for that. Putting Chaos Theory for example on to eyebeam would integrate it into our rotation baseline. Where as on Bladedance it is very conflicting and you always feel like you need both talents…which you realistically do.
