You can see that despite logging 98 ( mage logged 94 ) I am almost ONE MILLION DAMAGE behind the mage. That’s how bad we are.
Anyone who says DH is actually decent in M+ is outright, categorically wrong. This is an unacceptable damage difference that Blizz is failing to address.
i decided to go into shadowlands blind on my DH (not knowing anyhing about its performance) just beacuse i think its a fun class to play and im fairly new to retail wow. i have been doing some m+ and felt kinda good about the damage i do. just up untill just now i did a SD+12 and was 2 million damage behind the mage,5.4k dps total, and 1.6 million behind the warlock, 5.1k dps total. my dps was 4.1k total. thinking about possibly rerolling as its not to late. but i dont like the playstyle of a caster.
I used to be able to keep up in keys on dmg. But as other classes are getting more geared( keep in mind that I am gearing as well) I’m actually pretty much lagging behind in improvement on dmg while my two friends who play lock and mage are each day getting further and further ahead… we need serious tuning not only in ST which is complete and utter s h i t it’s also our aoe
Havoc is very decent right now. Before two xpacs it was overpowered and blizzard fixed that problem with shadowlands. Now stop crying and just play your game.
We were never brought to keys because of dmg.
We were mostly brought because melee and especialy melee with any sort of utility was preferable due to dungeon design.
We were explosive, kick, stun, imprison, darkness and chaos brand servants. While for example fire mages did the killing.
Now instead of providing the group with smooth run, you are mostly a burden which gets unnecessary ‘avoidable’ damage from storming, spiteful and general mechanics.
With damage, survivalbility and utility nerfs (100% dodge for mechanic cheese, netherwalk 3 min), we are far less demanded.
We were also pretty screwed by target cap.
We need damage increase to compensate these drawbacks.
