Just a bit curious, for anyone wanting to RP as a mage of Dalaran or just hang out rping in Dalaran, should they be directed to new or old? Personally, I have seen players in both, although I’m thinking about how new Dalaran is more crammed with NPCs that take up the place, and old Dalaran is kind of outdated…
What would you say is the case?
I much prefer the new Dalaran, more npc’s makes it feel more alive and it looks better.
Most people use Old Dala for RP.
The new one isn’t just crammed with NPCs it’s also full of non RPers because of the Stormwind and Orgrimmar portals being accessible with a seperate hearthstone than your home one.
I’d either go for old Dala, myself or turn Warmode on to avoid lollers and such in new. But use the new one if you’re just doing instanced RP I’d say, going with a friend to Dalaran, for example.
Good luck trying to find random RP in either, but I’d say Old is your better bet if you really want to.
I’d go with Wrath era Dalaran simply because it’s more accessible via portals and open to lower level players so that more interested players can participate.
I personally prefer new Dalaran, since it feels more “alive” with all the NPC’s and such.
