Damage calculator

Hello, I need help finding a damage calculator, something elser than simcraft, something where I can write exactly what I’m gonna cast and it will calculate my damage done by those spells

Lol, how do you propose to do that?

If you have 20% crit and cast 5 spells on average one of them will crit. How does your “damage calculator” decide which of those 5 crit?

Simcraft does exactly these kind of things by running thousands of iterations of a fight and averaging the results to take into account these variations.

Have you tried Training Dummy?

Also as far as I am aware you can customize your rotation for the simcraft by changing the spell priority.

training dummy is bs, I can test something out then find out that in raid environment with buff clases it’s completely different

If I were to use simcraft, how would I find “names” of buttons, like changing gear/spec/talent ? The closest clue I’ve got is putting “_” instead of space in the name of a spell but there ain’t no name for those buttons. If wanted to cast a spell then change gear or spec, how would you achieve that in simcraft ? Is there a list of every action my character can do ? Would be happy if you could give me link cuz I haven’t found it yet.

They put my char on hold hah

No addon can do that. Abilities’ damage is calculated upon cast. At that time X procs, buffs or debuffs may pop randomly, making the outcome unpredictable. Even if you eliminate RNG, there’s still a plain chance your ability to miss its target (5% as a melee).

A good approach to what you’re asking is removing any piece of gear that generates procs, then reimporting your toon to SimC and tweaking the Damage APL or even better with less trouble, use training dummy along with the Combat Log Chat.

You can change everything in SimCraft.

After importing your toon, SimC creates a file that includes your gear, gems, enchants, talents on top, and the Action Priority List (rotation) at the bottom of the file.

You can see your gear’s name on top along with the item’s ID, if you wanna change your head for example, you need to find the exact name and ID of the new head through Wowhead and replace the head’s line.

Talents are in X/Y/Z… format. For example, if u wanted to try all talents from column 1 at the same time, you should replace the talent line with 1/1/1/1/1/1/1.

At the bottom is the APL. This is usually consisted of different code blocks, depending on the spec you play. For example, for Sub Rogues theres a block with all the actions you should do, while ure on Stealth or Shadow Dance. You can change those, or even delete/add your lines.

You can even do other things like adding movement to the fight, adding more targets, simulating lag, setting a fight duration, generating stat plots and many many more!!
