I’m not a battleground enjoyer I play a few dozen per year but when I put my heart and soul to win I like to see reflection of it on scoreboard at the end after victory sound. In the past we used to take screenshots of our high kill count in battlegrounds to show that we carried / can carry to our friends.
PvP is not a place for equality, strong ones will crush weak players, then weak players get strong and crush weaker ones than them. That is already whole point.
It is like imagine if football had no score / assist counts. Players only play, scoreboards don’t even show who scored / who assisted.
I’ve been mostly a casual pve player but I’ve always had a few expacs where I invested in pvp. The only thing I’ve seen people attacked on is their healthpool, mostly because it implies the item level and player power.
Kills I’ve never seen weaponized because thats really just about killing blows more then anything especially in group vs group scenarios and damage done also not really because some objectives just put you in a position where you’re not seeing a lot of enemies too kill or do damage against (so node defense).
As a casual player who occasionally dabbles in pvp I’d say yeah weird change this one.
They did what? I Had no idea since i didn’t log for a couple days.
But that’s just ridiculous, I mean any not entirely smoothbrained pveplayer has a damage meter. In my opinion that causes ten times more toxicity and stress then a pvp overview. Good god, I hate when people say things like “snowflakes” because it’s usually those wailing about it that wine the most, but if you can’t even face a bad score in a bg then maybe multiplayer games aren’t for you
