Simple . Since when and how do wow devs think that is a good ideea to have a damage rotation (only damage) made out of 11 buttons - example enhancement shaman elementalist - just conted them . 11 ? really ? MOST of the people are here to have FUN not get another PHD. Is just unreal how those ppl are getting paid for this. Those class whatever decision makers just gotta be replaced asap. No game will get ppl to play with this kinda madness. I mean there are games with 5-6 buttons to press and ppl still struggle . BUT no lets make it 11 âŚ
I gave up Feral when it was timers + buttons for meh dps lol. Way over done for the DPS output. Now playing Ret lolâŚ
Feral still has DoT clipping for its Bleeds ainât it? DoT clipping suckedâŚ
You should be happy, back in the day enhancement shaman had like one ability to press while waiting for windfury to proc.
I levelâd and geared an enhancement shaman and they are so good now compared to before.
I donât know why youâre complaining, too many buttons? Get macros, simple as that.
Iâd pick too many buttons over too few buttons any day of the week.
For the most part the WoW devs are massively out of touch with what the majority of their playerbase wants. But thats no surprise since they keep going to âtop playersâ for advice and/or feedback.
The average player shouldnt require a PhD in neuroscience to play certain specs.
Sorry but you saying that makes no sense, they literally just a couple of days ago sped up both shaman healing rotation and balance druid dps rotation solely because players have been complaining about it.
Theyâre fixing problems that shouldnât even have been there to begin with.
Blizzard has a habit of overcomplicating things.
You may think this is crazy, but some people enjoy playing more complicated specs.
If you donât, there are enough specs that are much simpler.
If 11 buttons is too much for you to watch out for there are still plenty of other specs that have much less buttons.
I heard BM is very easy on the button complexity, and I think Retribution is too. Maybe they appeal more to your playstyle.
I think Fury is also is also very easy to grasp.
Do not follow the meta and instead build your own talent tree with more passives and less actives.
Dealing 90% of damage with 8 buttons is better than dealing 100% with 11 when you want to have fun.
Iâd imagine you donât play pvp then, cause some spec (especially healer and hybrids) you almost need to play with 2 keyboard.
Iâm against all passive but tbh having 60+ keybind is what makes me not play some things to.
Itâs no surprise to me that the most popular specs all have relatively few buttons, or that the most popular rotation add-on has tens of millions of downloads.
The only two dps specs that I enjoy are BM hunter and Frost DK, and both have simple rotations that I can grasp and execute without many WAs. This also allows me to play mechanics, use CC/interrupts/stops properly, and actually feel like Iâm playing a game.
With the WoW communityâs average age probably significantly higher than the audience of various competitive games, itâs perplexing to me that WoW requires more keybinds than pretty much all e-sport games played by young people.
Then again, I also like healing and tank specs, in spite of the number of buttons/keybinds, so I think for me itâs not necessarily the amount of buttons, but the strict, bloated rotations that are very sensitive to mistakes (i.e. you can completely tank your dps output when you donât execute the rotation flawlessly).
Less than before; they just got another button, instead of keeping the additional temporary pet a procc like before - rather annoying, and hero talents will probably add more. Urgh.
Arcane Mage actually has the least buttons of all my toons.
I play all classes, I donât want to need a hotkey guidebook for all of them and having to press a modifier key before abilities feels uncomfortable to me; macros that change the ability based on it being a friendly target or an enemy one are ok, since it doesnât need any extra key to be pressed, but everything else is just unnecessaty.
HotS heroes work fine with only 5-7 buttons each and are highly different in complexity. Complexity or a âskill capâ hasnât much to do with the amount of buttons to press; especially if several do basically the same just with a random CD on them, forcing you to alter between two or more buttons.
Exactly these wow streamers are having too much influence on the game and they should not be they are the minority of this game !
Join BM Hunter crew, 3 button cleave go brrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yes because having 50 people play a complicated spec is much better design than the possible 10.000 that would rather have fun and rerolled instead. Genius!
There is way too much button smashing in WoW, like everything has become a prot pala with that hammer talent.
Less is more. Build on the core kit and develop synergy and interaction between spells instead so the spells I use feel meaningful.
Prune the bloat!
Personally, button bloat (on some of the classes that Iâve played) is a serious issue. There is more to WoW than just getting feedback and advice from players whose job is just to stare at a weakaura rotation package in the middle of their screen and forget everything else.
SP feels fine at least. Mindgames for the sake of mindgames was my only real issue and they removed that.

These statistics are totally accurate btw
