Dampening is stupid

Dampening is stupid, and unfair. Especially in 2s where every mortal strike class has an advantage on top of it. Not all healer classes handle it the same. Instead make healers spend mana again, double dps comps would be more frequent since hybrids could heal again. And there we go, the game is fun again.

Yep i agree its really idiotic.
during BC and Wrath it made sense, maybe even in Pandaria but the modern wow does not need Dampening it solves exactly nothing, quite the oposite.

The fact that it even starts at 30% is even more so disturbing… Let’s face assasin rogue or arms warr and I as an opposing team start off with 50% dampening because of wound poison and mortal strike… Not to even add up sharpen blade or shiv. Only MS dps work in 2s because of that only reason.

What’s funny is in bfa everyone asked for Ms cause you couldn’t kill anything and then when they gave everyone ms in sl the game evolved into unhealable dmg and cheese ability which doesn’t justify ms anymore.

You guys need to slow down because adding percentages doesnt work like that.

Lets say you heal for 100.
30 % dampening kicks in.
You heal for 70 now.
25% mortal strike kicks in.
Now its now its 70-(70*25%) = 52,5%.

I know the difference isnt big, but calling the devs dumb and then proceed to do the math wrong by yourself is kinda a retard move…

2v2 seems some what logical but in solo shuffle vs 2x damage dealers is really unfun and stressful.

Awc just had a 9 min game with dampening. Id sat its needed but in 2s starting on 30% with healers is too much

Why the hell you would want arenas where you just wait until mana runs out to finish the game? :smiley:

Seems very redundant, just start arena with 0% mana then if its eventually always going there

but my point still stands, devs throw random numbers around rnd 40% here, random 15% there random 30% here.

and if a game needs dampening, u know something wrong

we don’t need to start with the random modifiers on every classes, cuz conduits sh´´t named “new talents” oh boy so many stuff is wrong right now
