And then you have succesfully identified the root to the issue.
Just hail down their customer support, and dont stop untill it has been resolved.

Last communication i had with them ended with, there is nothing we can do for you.

I tried All their “solutions”, like resetting fiber modem, router, swapping patch cables etc. They did a test of My connection (which i did during a 4 minute lag spike too) where neither of us found anything. After i had depleted their “solutions” to this they just went blank and said then there is nothing we can do for you.

You guys just got into the wave of sh1t routing, we had this in serbia about 2 months ago, maybe 3 even with people spiking to 10k ping and back every other hour or so. Its not on your end, the isp serving blizzard nodes in eu is just trash and has been having this issue since late 2023.

For me it is only wow. ff14 is alright no lag. So it is something do with routing to wow servers from danmark.

I dont want to jinx it.
But i havent had any lag spikes all day.
Hope that means the issue is solved.
Might just be a coincident, but i hope not.

It’s not just Denmark, unplayable lag started few hours ago in Italy as well, and free vpns are hit and miss in terms of fixing it, my previous session it reduced it to 1 tenth latency, while this one still sucks.

has anyone else not had any random MS spike issues since they reset the servers again the other day after maintenance? or are people in here who’s using Norlys still dealing with this issue?

personally i haven’t experienced it again since they did their emergency server shutdown after the maintenance, but maybe I’ve just been lucky? curious to hear from others in this thread.

ty

Me and My wife had a spike earlier today. Only one we have had since sunday tbh. Something has changed.

Well, it seems like they fixed their problems, it’s not only Norlys having issues, as in, i think they ain’t got any, anymore.

Now it seems to be Blizzard having issues with their game lmao

Did anyone figure out a solution? Dane here and also on Norlys with the EXACT same issue everyone else is having. I’m on discord with other people also using Norlys, and we all shout out loud at the exact same time “lag”, whilst everything else but Blizzard games work.

It was gone for a while but it is back for me now. It only seems to happen in instances for me at least.

also back to having issues again, like mentioned above it’s only happened thus far while in instanced dungeons or battlegrounds… sigh

Same here.

I had Ping running in the background. Then came a lag spike. Most ping requests timed out, but ingame chat was still active and people talking fine on Discord - so the local Internet connection as such worked.

After like 1-2 minutes the lag spike was over; ping began to answer again, first with 150ms latency and slowly falling back to 20ms as I am used to.

I read in another thread it was possible an error in Norlys’ end. I can’t say if it is correct but I can confirm the tracert passes through Norlys’ network.

It just went crazy right now, for me. Ping says 1274 ms. Okay. Basically unplayable. It’s been this way on and off since I came back for TWW, so…

There’s something that doesn’t work as it should in the internet tubes.

I don’t think this is a Blizzard or at least not a TWW problem, since I uninstalled TWW the day after TWW was released (too buggy, I am not sure how they could ever release that).

Instead I am playing Classic - and that’s were I experience lag issues. Approximately one spike per hour, but not coming in a specific pattern.

Today is especially bad. Every dungeon i enter i have the freezes(mega lag spikes)

I have this as well and it is currently happening in dungeons, the lag ranges from 30 sec all the way to 3 minutes, then it all goes back to normal and comes again, also using Norlys.

Since it seems to be Norlys/Stofa, I think it’s a matter of directing the issue to their customer support.
I imagine they already know, but more voices speak louder than one.

yeah… same for me

at this point I’m just praying for a random fix with tomorrows maintenance, else it’ll be impossible to get into playing M+ or any form of rated PvP…

also I’m confused as to who’s end the issues lies at, if it’s our provider or Blizzard? cause I’ve still only ever experienced the lagg spike issues while being in instanced content and never in open world.

I’m not very computer savy or techy but every other game or web browsing works just fine during these lagg spikes, so I’m guessing it’s at Blizzards end…?
