I’d pick Dark iron if you want to be more unique
i would say dark iron.
The dark iron mole machine is convenient
they look more badass
And they have a nice racal increasing your primary stat for a while
Also mass production if you craft alot i suppose

Regular dwarves have cooler beard styles… But dark irons have flaming beards…

Both racials put PVP trinket on CD iirc. So probs best going for DI for the flat stats on racial + magic cleanse and change of visuals

Dark iron are cool. I re discovered Shammy with anvil totems. Just the heritage armor is better the one owned by regular dwarves (The DI have Donald Duck Helmet).
Go for DI!
Dark Iron you don’t have to level from 1 to 20. So there’s that. Also the heritage achievement if you care.
I slayed them a lot in Blackrock depths.
well im currently trying to unlock dark iron dwarves but i dunno which class to pick when i do. solo hunter/musketeer or paladin or maybe even warrior. i just dont like mages and already have a warlock.

I like both, but I would go Dark Iron, because:
I like the fire look and would make a fire themed hunter, there are some awesome fire pets you can tame and Tmogs.
Also the Deep flames of the earth and the more esoteric lore aspect I like;
and as a new race they have good looks (but that’s minor).

It was that intro that inspired my first character actually…though i picked NE for some reason! But the hunter was purely because of the dwarf and that bear 
I liked the dark iron dwarfs since vanilla . That rogue style dwarfs , with unique dark look, living in cartel is that made me grind for them . And when I unlocked them never managed to lvl them up till 120 
One thing I have not read here and I find awesome is that Dark Iron background in the character screen is badass

the answer is simple. You play both races.
A Survival Hunter (Bronzebeard dwarf) who can also act as a Wildhammer dwarf (the tatoo armor from the island expeditions).
The Dark Iron dwarf works transmog/lore-wise best as a warrior or shaman in my book.
