I just unlocked Dark Iron dwarves and I am curious is it worth to swap from normal dwarf to Dark Iron? Do they have better racials or different animations? I found some voice line an those sound awesome to me.
By looking at tmog, it’s a bit harder to mog as dark iron (mostly fire/earth related mogs fits) and also they dont have that many customization options, but love that “dark” dwarvish side.
Yes, its offensive racial is very useful, especially so if you regularly fight enemies with debuffs, as you can both remove those and apply a stronger CD.
Two birds with one stone.
If you like to farm old raids, the mole machine and movement bonus indoors will help a lot with mog runs.
A regular dwarf can continuously enjoy the benefit of Might of the Mountain and hold Stoneform just for clearing debuffs. You rather need the stars to align for the debuff removal from Fireblood to line up with a good damage moment. It won’t be two birds with one stone unless you don’t throw that stone nearly as often as you could.
@OP you don’t seem like the kind of player for whom such a minuscule damage difference would matter, so just play whichever appeals to you.
For fire/earth tmogs for sure, especially as shamans. Finding fire on beard really annoying for stormy/greenish necro look, those seem better on regular ones.
You’re right, I am casual player, since I am still new, @Frissbees, so minor upgrades doesn’t really matter to me, but other racials, like indoor speed and that transporter look really cool and handy. For now, what keeps me playing is doing the old content, exploring/doing campaigns and working on tmogs. Played Vanilla but nothing after that so I am still working on finding out what happened for all these years and what I missed
I love Dark Irons, but its the same as with Lightforged or Void Elves… I am super attached to a lot of my alts and wouldn’t want to replace a single one for a new character. Otherwise I’d have a shiny (though mostly fiery) Dark Iron on my own!
