Well and space goats are very sci-fi, and not only they were implemented but they were given class that is anathema to their identity- shaman.
And I think Tinker would find it’s audience once it would be created the right way. Steampunk has it’s charm.

I’d say that they are much more magic-based (arcane, Light), hence fit the overall fantasy theme. Having mechanical/technical class as Tinker is kinda of out of place for me, which is really strange when we have tanks and much more already in the game, even some races were mechanical at the beginning.
Maybe I am just biased, because I don’t find the class appealing too much for me.
The tinker afaik is nothing near steam punk and rather a mecha class.
I’m all in for steam punk stuff thou I love that!
When I think tinker the first thing that comes to mind is high tinker mekatorque, following closely by gazolwe.
Dark ranger could work as a 4th specc for deathknights giving them a ranged specc. Because dark rangers are basicly just hunters that got risen the same way as death Knights. also this way both factions would have it besides the forsaken

Afaik Dark rangers are originally rangers that got risen forcibly, you can argue that rangers are hunters or not.
You can draw the conclusion that they both use bows and maybe pets, or you can say that rangers don’t use pets, engage in melee and rely more on versatile fighting instead of " hunting " their opponents. Both arguments are valid.
However to say they could work as deathknight’s 4th spec is completely wrong. since they have nothing in relation to them besides being raised from the dead.

I am yet to see a Dark ranger utilizing a pet, besides the fact that some of them speak of their love of spiders.
Besides that point, I completely agree with you.
They could not work as 4th spec for DKs because of numerous reasons, one possible spec for DK might be Necromancer (as a caster since Undead DK is basically necromancer), even though they wear plate armour, they do not need the mobility as rangers do and since they are undead they should not feel the weight of the armour too much.
It seems as Ranger = Hunter, but there are differencies, mostly that Rangers, be it dark rangers or sentinels (which are also essentially rangers) etc, have powers that normal hunters does not possess + their fightting style and role is different. It can be just enough to create a new class.
There is still a big difference between Death Knights and Dark Rangers. For one Death Knights have no soul.
Dark Rangers are a mix between Necromancy and the abilities and skills that an Elven Ranger has. That’s how Sylvanas did it and she was the first.
Death Knights wield Runic magic and “unholy strength”. Again something Dark Rangers do not posses. Death knights know right from wrong, some even remember what they did while under Arthas control. But they just don’t feel.
Dark Rangers are quite similar to Forsaken. They still have their minds, emotions and souls. Just minus the decayed bodies and such. Dark Rangers also focus on Shadowcraft more than nature.
Sooo, Dark Rangers could perhaps be unique enough to have a class made for them. A ranged bow wielding archer, with necromantic magic along with their unique stealth abilities. Sounds pretty cool.

I would not mind if they gave us a new class for Horde and new class for Alliance. Be it for example Undead elven dark rangers for Horde and mage/priest themed High Elf for the Alliance ![:grin:](https://d1bg94bbsh66ji.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/grin.png?v=6" ":grin:")
I am not that into Tinker class, but it could be a fun class to play. On the other hand, we already have Tinkers aka Engineers with their weapons and bombs and whatnot
So basically.
Alliance - undead golden eyes ( human looking one’s)
Horde - undead red eyes ( elf looking one’s)
I personally think, they could add new skins for undead like human, elf and all races with red eyes option and similarly fir the LF unead.
Having class/race combos is quite good idea, e.g. in Lotro you have Beorning and it gives a lot sense. Unfortunately you can’t really use these two examples, because there would be huge, I mean enormous, backlash as to why those two races (undead elves and High elves) don’t have access to other classes as well.
It could definately give new mechanics and it might be a lot of fun, still I would love to see different classes as well, but if Blizz want to add Tinker they have to remove some of the “abilities” (usable items) from engineering.
None of the playable races have access to body types and adding multiple (or all of the) races’ models to one race would be equal to it.
I can see Blizz adding Undead elves in the next expansion though, maybe even LF undead, anyways only one race at a time not all in one.

Anyway we can see in this article that there is quest available for both factions which involves around Velonara and her apprentice (+Moorgoth). Maybe that is a hint?
Well it could be added as new (sub)race for both factions and both of them have faction specific hero class, similar as DH’s are now only for blood elves and night elves, but it could be Dark Ranger only for undead elf and mage/priest class only for High Elf. Of course, both of the new races could be something else, not just the new classes
On the other hand, as much as I’d like to see these new sub races in the game, I think we have enough elfs already

I was wondering if you meant it like that. Well, then it depends on adding those two races and that is quite risky. I’d love to see both of them in the game though 
Dark ranger and some kind of Battle mage, War priest or mage/priest hybrid (which is quite strange) can be available to more races than these two. Warden and Shadow Hunter on the other hand might be locked only to one, two races
I know that we have 4 elven races, but people still wants different kinds of Tauren/Trolls/Dwarves etc, so we might see more “subraces” added in the future as either AR or regular races.
I would love for undead elf to be an allied race I really hope they do
Many players would love them to be playable, again as High elves they are in the game for quite a long time and part of certain faction.If Blizz added them, it would not be in BfA, but next expansion is prolly centered around Death, that is perfect opportunity
Keep in mind that if Horde gets Undead elves, the Alliance have to get something similar, be it High elves, Half elves or Half + High elves (that would comprise of both and they would be separable by customisation). Or Naga, the original or newly discovered, bipedal, from Nazjatar, since they come in quite a lot of shapes.
Yes whats sad about Void Elf as much as I love them they were an exiled group, where as Undead Elf have such a good history and could be the perfect counterpart to Void Elf with Void and Death or Sylvanas and Alleria. San’layn or just regular Dark rangers would be amazing

San’layn is something I’ve also heard requested. Vampire elf…hehe does have a cool ring to it. But as far as I know Blizz has said 0 about it.
If we think about pure balance. Alliance has Void Elves, Horde has Forsaken. If one of them gets another leap in one or the other direction there has to be balance. So if Alliance does get Lightforged Forsaken, for the sake of balance the Horde should get some sort of death race or class.

This could be a good idea. If Dark Ranger ends up being well…not unique enough to be a sole race or class on it’s own. A Sub race of…idk Night Elves could at least be something.
Tbh many of the players that I know thought at the start of Legion, that the Alliance would get Nightborne (or make them neutral) and the Horde would get Undead elves to balance the elven ratio. Some of them were really positive about High elves as well.
What both factions got in the reality was kind of a surprise and I have to admit that not the best one.
San’layn could work as this class/race combo and ofc as normal race as well. But if it were just one combo what should the Alliance get to balance it? (I’d be for warden)
How do you mean it, giving the Alliance subrace of Night elves like Highborne (Shen’dralar) or something else? Are not High elves/Half elves better choice?

Here is where this gets interesting
In the beast mastery hunter scenario the dwarf says a MECHAGNOME?! Where are we going now so this is a hint for the junker gnomes.
In the violet hold there is what ? A San’layn
Now what were both hinted at in bfa the junker gnome city which got confirmed, and San’Layn working for the Horde which as a Horde player we never knew of.
Now if I was the leader of the San’layn I would not send my whole army to the fight for a faction i am newly recruited in, also the Alliance killed ONE blood prince and the rest were apprentices , after that they were never mentioned.
Forsaken Elf and High Elf shown alot during legion and in BFA with them being around Zuldazar and giving you quests, and High Elf in the Arathi Warfront start for Alliance as mages.
For each allied race there is a recruiter that wants to bring a race into their respective faction
Baine/Highmountain
Liadrin/Nightbonre
Eitrig/Maghar
Rokhan/Zandalari
After them there are two slots left and one more for a Pandaren themed one if you are going to follow the structure of core races.
Nathanos/ for sure something with undeads no way a living race, even in the seething shore bg he yells why arent there any dark rangers in your ranks.
