I mean, I kinda would, yeah. “Dark Ranger Twitter” is a big thing (unfortunately). It would seem bizarre to me that they wouldn’t clarify this facet if they truly meant to make the customisation options ‘non-canon’.

They’re not “there” when Velonora says those words in that one specific quest. Which has now concluded, and time is passing.
We can all, hopefully, agree that they will be “canon”. There’s no reason to think they won’t be. The sole disagreement appears to be “now” or “later”.
Patches are time jumps, and Dragonflight is, frankly, unlikely to touch on them at all since they’re not the focus (dragons are). Are you going to choose not to RP something that we know is happening solely because we don’t see an explicit word of when it happens for what could be years?
Cool, I mean, whatever, make your own choice. But others shouldn’t suffer because they can read the writing on the wall.

How, how can you disagree with the actual canon? Are you saying Velonara is wrong? That the devs who created it are wrong? Please explain how you can disagree with the actual lore, please?

If we read the writing on the wall the developers deliberately wrote Velowhatsheface’s dialogue to not clearly indicate that the Alliance welcomes them yet. We got what people are quoting in this thread repeatedly.

I wasn’t aware Dark Ranger Velonora was the expert on internal Alliance machinations. Perhaps she should be the new High King of Stormwind since she clearly knows objective truth.

Like I can not get over this, you have to be being obtuse on purpose it has to be a troll at this point… It has to.
What Velonara said IS the lore at this stage, we are hoping they will bring us anything a tweet/cut scene/quest, which will confirm that which we want. That doesn’t imply that it will be retconned, because that is lore at the moment. I want to say they did this to build to something bigger (i.e. an ingame cut scene to show us Tyrande welcoming them back with open arms) but I could be wrong there and we will just get a tweet. But the fact Velonara acknowledged they may not be welcomed, brings me hope that it will be more than that.
I think we already got to that stage, I think Elenthas, literally arguing against the current lore, because its wrong, shows we have gotten to that stage.

What Velonora said is her opinion at this stage. The lore is that they’re free to go. Their reception is her opinion. An opinion we know to be incorrect - or at least incomplete, since Tyrande has already indicated she would welcome them back.

Gunna go out on a whim here and assume a line from a Dark Ranger npc has more significance regarding Dark Rangers than a rp’ers opinion.

Grand, so we moved on from what a Horde Dark Ranger states is at best speculation on her side.
Can we circle back to my previous two posts now and elaborate on why Blizzard dropped their decent practice of giving lore-based or OOC confirmations on how and why customization options (including race and class choices) are added?
Or they want to be deliberately vague about this particular addition because they will have something everything in this thread is asking for added later.

I don’t really think Alliance dark rangers are going to get any time, no. Why would they spend time on them when dragonflight, a story that has nothing to do with them at all, is on the horizon?
Has Tyrande conveyed this to the general population, though?
