A silly question. Again, the question isn’t “will they/won’t they”. It’s a matter of time. Why are people arguing against having another RP concept to play out?
Like, lets say they don’t confirm it, one way or the other. Lets say we get to dragonflight, and it’s not confirmed, at all. Lets say we keep going. Dragonflight ends, and the Tyranny of the Light expansion is announced with infinites and Yrel. And it’s still not confirmed. We’re 4 years down the line.
Are you still gonna say “we still don’t know, so don’t do it”?
I think it’s absolutely normal for people to not accept this as a reason why we got no proper confirmation on this topic.
It is also why I find it absolutely plausible that role-players advocate their own in-character logic for what makes sense in terms of how they treat Dark Rangers in Stormwind City.

Given how we have had NPCs added to the game that reflect what is actually canon, ie Allied Race and refugee NPCs in Stormwind/Orgrimmar, Rastari Paladins in the 8.1 raid, changing the skin color of guards and vendors in capitals in the SL prepatch and a myriad other instances where these additions were then set in stone.

Don’t be silly! We have Elenthas here to tell us the actual lore, we can forget all about what actual lore characters say, we can rely on Elenthas, who is clearly more knowledgeable in this than the actual devs/story writers/quest writers!

I don’t know how to be clearer about this, I truly don’t. You think that until there’s explicit confirmation that they shouldn’t be RP’d. I believe that the plot thread is clear based upon the facts and that waiting until something which may never even happen until you start RPing it is a waste of potential.

Where in the hell did I say that? I said they shouldn’t be in SW, I have actually above given what I will be doing with my own dark ranger… So no, there is no way I have been saying they shouldn’t be RP’d at all.
