Agreed. Didn’t get to interact with them as of yet, but from what I’ve seen both on their recruitment thread and what the GM is writing around they seem like a cool lot. I’m considering dropping my DR over there atm.
You mean roleplaying as a member of the magus senate of Dalaran and minister of war on behalf of the floating city, esentially leading all of Dalaran’s armies and what not ? Or maybe mr. Salazar who’s been promoted from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Intelligence to the position of Chancellor and Prime-Minister of Dalaran. Oh wait… we do have something like that too.
Yeah AD has always had people claiming to be close to certain lore figures/leaders(not that I would), some of the biggest names in rp infact, and being privy to make huge decisions regarding factions ect, so its no different here tbh
Not really a fan of that tbh. It does have the advantage, however, that it’s pretty limited and if you don’t want to partake in the 21st century government of SW that treats Turalyon as a guy leading the Alliance from somewhere far, far away, you don’t have to.
Im not a huge fan of it either just pointing out that, people regarding that an issue we dont need here are abit late, thats a thing here lol, some of the biggest content creators on AD engage in that, for better or worse.
I’ve not RPed on SWTOR in over a year and ESO in three years but with comparative playerbases that are much smaller than WoW’s I lean more towards thinking they haven’t changed much because of their smaller populations.
Of course I could be totally wrong, again just going off the past.
That makes sense, yeah. However, it has gained quite the following as I’ve RPed on ESO. But there are some who have their own headcanon from what I heard that is similar to Moon Guard, but this is through rumours, I didn’t RP long enough to find out.
Im not really fussed if thats what they do, we got people doing that here on AD aswell, claiming Arathor is theirs or Alterac is theirs ect, its not like that doesnt go on here lol, I personally wouldnt claim my char as ruler of any zone dont get me wrong but if thats what others are doing, thats their own business, they have some cool ideas over there though, cant remember which if it was MG or WRA but there was this one guy rping a ghost in Duskwood and he’s like a questgiver n frankly it sounded cool af.
It’s a new type of whack to declare ones character The Queen of Lordaeron…
How are american roleplayers okay with this? like…
I’m not even going to attemp to understand this.
Yeah. Difference is the Kingdom of Stromgarde is actually restored and no one is claiming Alterac is restored, they’re just occupying the ruins of a ruin now given how often these locations change hands.
Then on Moon Guard you have this. https://moon-guard.fandom.com/wiki/City-State_of_Alterac
A self-proclaimed Scarlet king ruling over a provisional Alteraci state, civil wars, Scarlet Crusade that isn’t hostile to just about anyone and part of the Alliance. That flag is the flag of the DDR dyed black and orange with the heraldries of the Scarlet Crusade and Alterac slapped on top of each other in place of the DDR’s hammer and compass.
Funny thing is she was so outlandish even the majority of Moon Guard RPers loathed her, but like some green and goldies here on AD, she managed to get enough active followers she could throw her weight around.
