so few of my friends were asking to play undead elf as an allied race. But Blood/Void and night elves can have dark ranger options which looks like undead.
Does that make them Undead Elves while having Dark Ranger option?

Not completely sure what you’re asking, but officially it’s just a customization option for the regular elf races.
But if you want to roleplay as a dead elf, it’s definitely possible now.
i think yes, Blood elf death knight makes an actual undead elf, even when i put 3 of the unique skin color for DKs and named him “Elfundead”

Unfortunately not. That has been a theme with shadowlands if you hadn’t noticed. Instead of adding them as separate races, anything that shares a similar body/model gets added as customizations. It’s easier.

In my head canon they’re technically dead… or undead? 
Not sure how that works in the lore but it looks awesome!
This, and is better than making a whole race with a new zone, heritage or whatnot
