Dark skinned elfs in shadowlands

If Blood Elves had dark skin tones from the beginning - LORE WISE, then I don’t see any problems if the added dark skin tones to for Blood Elves. Not to mention, even the eyes are wrong (once again, Lore wise).

Maybe Blizzard will add reason to the changes in the coming months, or maybe with the release of the Expansion?

That’s the thing, some people, I imagine, would think half posters here are just narrow-minded. But I recommend those suspicious people go to see player reactions to human customisations, or Undead changes. Most wow players love additional customisations, but here is a problem…

However here we see this is change for the sake of '‘woke’ and I wish that companies would stop doing things for the sake of it.

For me this looks just plain wrong, equally wrong as them getting blue eyes.

Humans made sense to have black skin, but certainly not Blood Elves. If people wanted to play dark skinned elf, they still have the option to choose Night Elf, Void Elf and Nightborne.

This is not what I expected when Blizzard announced they would have more customizations as a feature for Shadowlands on Blizzcon. I expected we would see more effort put into the customizations and have us choose skins we may have encountered in the past.
For example customizations that resembled the Felblood Elves, San’Layn, Wretched ones and even Sylvanas Dark Rangers skin. Accompany these examples with scars, tattoo’s and warpaint, that’s what I had in mind when they mentioned further customizations.

As long as there’s an explanation in game why there suddenly is a few Felblood Elves dancing naked outside Orgrimmars AH, then I don’t mind it.
With this darker skin tone, I feel this is a cheap type of customization that won’t be explained in the lore. Unless this is NPC exclusive skin and it turns out that Wrathion is building up a new Black Dragonflight, which I would be fine with.

I will give Blizzard credit where credit is due and the heterochromia option is truly amazing. I’m also glad Blood Elves finally get their blue eyes back.

Honestly, i think it fits very well. It’s never mentioned in the books that elves MUST be of any skin hue so why not.

I do hope they add some NPCs around the pre-Shadowlands areas, so that the new skin colours aren’t suddenly appearing from Shadowlands content onwards. That goes for all races and their new customizations.

No it isn’t.
No one gives a damn about blood elf skin tone lore.

adding humans in different skin colors? Fine.

But blood elves? Why though? I don’t get it. neither this nor blue eyes make sense.

Lets not lie, Most of us dont give a f about lore in this case, The true issue is that Blizzard are bringing political correctness and politics into the game, Which ALSO breaks lore and makes it just pathetic.

I would expect Blizzard to introduce White versions of other races as well? The issue here is that Blizzard is jumping on the SJW train and such actions like this can be used against them when we have other races that cant have white skins. And what about Asians, Why are they left out?

If blizzard want to make political points in their game, Maybe they should make most bad guys in the game black as black people are overrepresented in criminal activities in the US.

And maybe all diseases should have the picture of an asian face as the majority of epidemics/pandemics come from asia?

I hope people understand how stupid this actually is.

Imagine getting mad over black elves, the more hot elves the better

As long as they add Asian blood elfs too.
It doesn’t matter what but why.
What is the reason leave out Asian if you want to bring other racial factors?

In b4 creation of Black Vikings.

It’s ok to do it with humans, and kul tirans, because it makes sense, but if you’re going to do it with blood elves, then you should’ve done it 15 years ago. Why change the color now? Just because of some SJW sh*t?

Idk why a fantasy game needs racial diversity…but sure I guess, RIP lore and such in the process but yeah.

Hotness is subjective. What you think is hot might be repulsive for others. Doesn’t mean they’re racist.
