I am pretty new to DMF event so trying to explore it as much as I can. I would like to obtain some recipes/patterns and mounts of course.
How hard is to obtain Darkmoon Prize Tickets and what is the best way for getting them?
The quests/games are not hard, some are a bit more annoying than others (the one with the turtle, I just suck at it) but in the end it’s just a time-gated grind.
The only quest I ignore is the new one with the dancing, I’m just too slow for that kind of minigame.

I think the best way is the Pet Battle Dailies. There’s two, one gives 10 tickets a day and the other gives 5. With 15 a day for 7 days that’s over a 100 in a week.
The other games like whack-a-gnoll or the Tonk one give 1 per day. They’re worth doing also if you have the time, some of them are fun enough. You’ll likely want to do them for the rep anyhow (the pet battle ones don’t give rep).

Black Market Auction House if you are looking to pass annoying time-gate. They appears almost once a week. Darkmoon Ticket Fanny Pack.
Also remember to have professions, as every time the Darkmoon Fair xomea you will ger really simple profession quest that can reward you with multiple tickets. Both primary and secondary professions.
You can do games quest every day and they are quite fun at first but after a while they probably start ti get a bit boring.
There are also some one time book quests that drop from various dungeon bosses.
Best thing you can do is go to wowhead and read a guide there if you wanna get tickets as fast as possible.

Darkmoon book, not sure if that’s the correct name, but you need to keep this book in your bags, so when you’re doing dungeons and or battlegrounds there is a chance for quest items to drop, there are 8+ different quests, each can be turned in once until the next Darkmoon Faire reset, so if you have 2 of the same, you can turn the next one in the following reset.
Each quest when turned in at the Darkmoon Faire rewards you with 5-10 Prize Tickets.

They are called Darkmoon Artifacts. There are total 9 of them and can be sold and bought on AH.
How much they cost approximately?
Approx 400 g to 2000 g depends on its source. The last time I saw them, PvP artifacts were more expensive.
I am tracking Black Market for 2 months on 5 different servers for… specific transmogs and saw them appear once a week. The price depends on the server but were usually 200k to 300k. They contain approx 300 Darkmoon Prize Tickets each, so for the mount, you need 3 of them.

Since I suck with pet battles, any suggestion how to beat them? Which pets are you using?
I just won the ‘legendary’ one with these pets:
Spawn Of Onyxia - Tranquil Mechanical Yeti - Runeforged Servitor (ofc blue & level 25)
The ‘epic’ one don’t remember exactly but basically you want to pick the pets that have “strong” attack against his pets. (there are also guides on Youtube you can watch).
It’s pretty easy with a:
- Nexus Whelpling
- Lil’ Bling
- Lifelike Mechanical Frostboar
You can switch out for Lil’ Bling with a Iron Starlette and just 3 shot the last 2 bosses sometimes.

Will have to check do I have those, if not I will look for them at the AH. Have around 100 pet charms, should be enough to level them up.
Yes, for both fights.
The nexus whelpling is good for clearing the debuffs from the magic pets and also hits them hard enough to 3 shot them usually.
The other 2 you can switch the line-up, just don’t use Bling versus the tryceratops since he has a mini shield.

Buy all the blue Darkmoon quest items from the AH with every character. And do all the profession quests.
You can buy them from bmah. They’re usually very good value cos you can sell replicas for a good profit

I use this site for pet battle strategies, you can find multiple suggestions for set ups and it will tell you what attacks you need to use.
You can also link your account and it will work out what strategies you have the pets for.
