Darkshore Warfront rares

Hello.

I never PvP so ignored the warfronts during BFA but now I have made a Night Elf and would love to get the transmog items, my question is:

Do I need to queue for the Darkshore warfront in Boralus or can I just goto Darkshore, speak to Zidormi and kill all the rares solo when I reach 60?

Thank you.

The Warfronts were not PvP. There were like a huge mob stampeding through LFR trash. The transmog sets from Warfronts were not drops; they were quest rewards:

But I think you want the rares anyway, and the rares didn’t and don’t appear in the Warfronts at all. If you go to Darkshore at level 50, you should find it a level 50 zone, with the rares there available to kill.

Be warned that as a level 60, you will now be weaker than a patch 8.3 level 50, so the big ones will be difficult to kill.

You can switch between the level 10 phase of Darkshore and the level 50 phase by talking to Zidormi on the road south of Lor’danel.

There was a quest in Boralus to introduce you to the level 50 phase of the zone and send you there through a portal just outside the Harbormaster’s Office on the dock. That will probably be available as soon as you hit level 50 and complete Uniting The Isles to open World Quests; there were world quests there.

Thank you Gráinne.

I just flew to Darnassus before I made this post on a level 56 and was ported to Darkshore instead and my PvP tag was automatically turned on. I found a rare there, a crab thing and killed it easily but it dropped no loot but all the things add-on said it could drop the Warfront transmogs - hence my question.

If I’m automatically PvP tagged I assumed it was a PvP zone.

So are the transmog items from the rares or quests?

Thank you.

The zone is flagged for PvP when your faction doesn’t contol the warfront. This alternates. The side that controls the warfront is not force-flagged and gets world quests.

But the warfronts themselves were instances like LFR, and as far from PvP as you could get.

Rare drop rates of gear are pretty low there. See for example the leather chest in the set above:

The best drop rate is less than 1 in 200. That’s why the quests from the warfronts were the way to get the pieces.

Gotcha, Thank you.
