Dastardly Duos Start Time

Dastardly Duos is a new event coming soon. Here’s the time that the event will become available in this region:

Time Zone Start Time Date
IST 07:00 June 4
GMT 07:00 June 4
CEST 08:00 June 4
EEST 09:00 June 4

In Dastardly Duos, players can step up to take on ‘animatronic’ versions of past bosses, gain powerups, and strive for higher and higher scores (and bragging rights). You and your party will fight two (or more) bosses at a time to rack up your highest score.

There will be three hubs for Dastardly Duos that players can visit in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, and Dornogal. While Vinnie Sweets is running the show, you’ll need to speak with Xyggie Marou to queue for the fight in the Dastardly Dome. A visit with Wodin, the Troll-Servant vendor, will also get you access over the weeks to some additional powerups or items that can help you in the fight.

In case you missed it, check out this look at the lore behind the mayhem:

Oh great, my inability to understand timezones will come to light here :joy: what is that in EU server time?

do they talk about the rewards?

You silly goose, Ireland is the only country that starts with I. (According to Wikipedia there are 3 different time zones abbreviated as IST, one of them is where I live, though it’s IDT here right now due to summer).

CEST is the European Server time, equal to UTC+1 in winter time and UTC+2 with Daylight Saving Time on.

Why’s there set starting times for it, is it a competition or something…?

We will get these anouncements for each event now I think.

I really hope there will be less time-limited events in the future. Think how much content there would be to do for non-raiders and non-m+ people…

was just thinking the same xD sounds like a " 3 -2 -1 GO GO GO!!!" sorta thing xD

Blizzard have never really done things in server time though. It’s always a launch time.

Think of any announcement

It’s always relevant to the player.

I dont have a clue too.You brat me too it

instead of talking about ruining a game,
you got caught up in your watch.
I wonder how you ruined such a big world with class changes every week.
are you thinking about how else we can ruin it?

Weird of them to do it like this now, usually it just begins after the servers come back up.

Maybe more events are coming on non-patch release days and announcing when something starts is how they will do it from now on because I know many players who just have had no clue when event A or B was ongoing lol.

They’ve been doing real life launch times for as long as I can remember. It’s never been realm time based.

For expansions right? Or raid releases in Classic modes. Events have had their start time marked in the calendar, no? And most of the time when the servers come up, they are available?

Can we detect any discrepancies here between what is shown in the game and what is told here?

We all know it standard for Intended Launch Time
The actual launch time is usually + 2 weeks when all fixes and nerfs go live

In game calendar is different to announcements for things from Blizzard. The calendar in game will always reflect realm time.

Yeah that’s my point. It is the first time they announce the start of a patch feature event like this. Probably not just here but on twitter too. Because people did not know when something was taking place.
