In my WoW folder, there’s a folder called “Data” In that folder, there’s another folder called “data”. In that folder, there lies 38 or something files. They all take 1.08gb each. Can i delete them? I mean, without harming my game. They take up a lot of space, and i kinda need that on my mac. Hope i guys can help me out.
No, that’s the actual game data.
I just think it’s a lot… It takes up almost 70gb just from the data folder… Aren’t there a way, so the game doesn’t take up 84gb on my mac? :-/
Nope, there isn’t. You can buy an external drive though, and put WoW on that, saving space on the built in disk.
You could get a PC in future, where you can upgrade the HDD yourself, without having to buy an entire new computer.
That’s the game itself, that Data folder is your World of Warcraft game ![]()
And yes it does take up space, as our World of Warcraft System Requirements article here shows it’s a minimum of 70GB (and will be going up to about 100GB for Shadowlands)
