Dawn of the Infinite not in the M+ Pool

How is this even a thing? How can this not be in the mythic+ pool alongside the original 8 dungeons? How is it possible that we get less content for more money spent? The random world/public events can’t be called content. We’re getting to play DF dungeons once per season for a few months, or at least so it was thought. BUT, we’re still getting to play Dawn of the Infinites only once as a m+ dungeon. M0 Dawn, even with the dungeon diff changing won’t be too impactful on gearing nor people look at it in any competitive setting. We’ve gone from 4 big raids and a mini raid, and at least 10-12 to getting ONLY 3 total raids and 8 total dungeons, that we don’t even get to play all at once, JUST the 4 they pick.

Why would you want it for 2 seasons back to back?

Why would i not want it back to back? If it was up to me i would have all DRAGONFLIGHT dungeons back to back. And not recycled content i’ve played 10 years ago. And what about the Raid situation?

Each to their own, I just don’t think the “less content for the same money” angle holds any weight. And sure you did dungeons 10 years ago but not in m+ and they’ve actually been changed.

What about it? I’m addressing your headline.

I think this whole “4 raids vs 3 or whatever” is pointless. Whats next? Should we count bosses? Or fight lengths? Yea this raid had less bosses but the fights were longer!

Bottom line is whiners are going to whine.

We’ve had 4 big raids and one mini raid. Not gonna argue with you, can’t i say what i think about it? From a content point of view, we actually got LESS content than previous expansions.

only reason i would want it is because it drops trinkets

Oh this is fantastic news indeed…

DOTI stinks. Really bad. It was designed from the start as an RP dungeon. NOT as an M+ dungeon.

So im happy we dont get shoe-horsed that dumb place for another season.

If you are talking about season 4. FALSE. 100% false.

You are getting MORE for your money.

Why? Because S4 (fated) does NOT replace a hypothetical season 4 with raids and dungeons.

It replaces the 1 year wait time we get at the end of the expansion.

In other words, if S4 did not exist, what we would get is a 1 year long S3. That is what we would get.

How can you even say that we’re getting more content? What are you on about? We’re getting 3 total decent patches with 3 total raids and 9 total dungeons. We used to get 4 raids in 4 big patches, a mini raid, and more than 10 dungeons.

What you are doing is comparing how it’d be without a fated season 4. What i’m saying, and probably most players, is that why don’t we have a 4th normal season? Why have it like Shadowlands? Shadowlands created a precedent with the fated S4. And shadowlands wasn’t a good expansion, as dragonflight isn’t either. Some good aspects of it doesn’t make it good. Legion and BfA were a lot better. We’d have it better if they’ll work for actual content to introduce in the last part/season of the expansion, fight the big bad, end of that story. I truthfully can’t comprehend how one would think like you, getting more content you say. More than what? Nothing?

You are forgetting how many days on each raid tier we spend.

You will agree its not the same say… 1st raid tier of SL - 218 days (7 and a half months) to 119 days of 1st raid tier of BFA ( 4 months ) …

SL fated season lasted ONLY for 3 months (80 days). MUCH shorter than any other raid tier in the history of the game. And it look like the DF one is on its way to being 3 months too. Not a big deal. It just makes the last tier last 4 months instead of 7 (which is what we observe in most expansions for the last patch).

SO. Dragonflight:

From the patch cadence we went from the 200 to 300 days range (WoD, and last patch of Legion all the way to SL. Thats 8 years) back to where we were before. At around 120 days range.

This expansion looks kinda similar to MoP expansion. EXCEPT we wont get a last tier patch that lasted 400 days !!! (thats 13 and a half months, or a bit more than 1 YEAR).

In conclusion: If you say that in previous expansion we got 4 raids in a space of 2 years and a half. In DF we get 3 raids but in the space of only 2 years. Its the same amount in the end. And if you want to get specific about numbers: Much better than in the last 10 years of this game. With few exceptions.

So stop complaining. Fated is an overall improvement.

If anything, you should be clapping blizzard and encouraging them to have even MORE patch cadence. More and more frequent tuning… all the good stuff we want.

Thank the lord its not in the pool… rise is by far the worst designed m+ dungeon I’ve ever played.

I won’t miss it, either. Too much flying/traveling, too much RP, and the pointless gauntlet. These aren’t good fits for M+.

Plus trash from hell in Fall and bosses that lots of players have problems with (like Manifested Timeways and Morchie).
