Today at 23:30 server time me and many more just lost our character due to serverside issue.
I understand that technical issues can occur from time to time, but it is deeply disheartening to lose my character in Hardcore mode due to circumstances beyond my control. As paying customers, I believe that we should expect that we will be provided with a fair and enjoyable gaming experience, free from disruptions caused by server instability.
Iv been on hardcore for 26 days, 6 days played - Enjoyed every minute of it…
Level 59 - 201034/209800xp (96%) dead due to your issues.

Having died at the same time, even recorded in IRL on video from POV.
I suggest opening a petition.
Clearly, they aren’t allocating enough resources to revive us. Since Blizzard is a public company, the best way to bring this to their attention and highlight their responsibility would be through a public petition. These often work wonders.

Same happened here… My priest lvl 43 dead for the lag. Weeks playing the game and dedicating hard efforts and die like that…
I feel Blizzard is not allocating enough resources (neither transparency) to this. I understand that if you die because of your fault or even a bug is totally ok but dying because of lag or server fall is so desperate and unfair.
See more 30 people on my guild dying at same moment (myself included). Wondering if it’s worth to renew my sub as this problems are not expected to be fixed and our characters won’t be rolled back. So unfair.
We should come together and start a petition; it’s our best course of action.
EU Forum Moderators lack both the necessary tools and the authority to make structural decisions.
It’s crucial to highlight that these server outages occurred for the second time, exclusively on the EU servers.
As stated earlier, we truly need to unite, either to petition for the restoration of our characters or to mass unsubscribe. Given that Blizzard is a public company, they will be compelled to act
6 days played and you’ve almost hit 60?
I agree but allocating resources to handle revive requests doesn’t seem to be a good idea to me, as people will try any kind of trick to get their character back, like unplugging their router when in trouble. The thing is to deploy a proper infrastructure, such lags never happened to me on WOTLK classic. Era hardcore servers are clearly overwhelmed
Agree with you but not completely. If there is a massive lag (server down like this) it’s not “router” or unplugging your pc, it’s macro and affected thousands of players.
Yes but it shouldn’t happen with proper infra, or they could setup some kind of server-side protection against connectivity issues (even star citizen has that)
Did the lagspike happen on both servers or “just” Stitches or Nek’rosh?

I am dead also. I wont go againe for some time, as I died too many times already.
Its painful to die cos of lags.
Sad part is, cos of HC now retail feels pointless.
Same happen also to me 54 lvl mage died due to servers lag @Nek’rosh same server time i really don’t know how to express my disappontment when you are so unlucky pulling mob that moment when you are full hp full mana pressing keys the char running around without any info for more than 30 secs and you hope that they despawn the npc server but nothing happen. Small indie company as blizzard can’t manage stability of their server and they can’t appeal character due to their fault. I can’t afford paying a game with this services .
The only way to make your voice heard is to cancel your sub and never come back. Never, in a million years, will blizzard actually allocate ressources to solve this issue and revive the affected players.
They are just that feces´y of a company, hiding behind the “you signed it and we told you about it” thingy.

Same happen here at lvl 42. Lag crash the server, many people disconnects at the same time. In my case the character was drown and was in a secure spot (no water around), strange feelings about this! Not affair.
Have screenshot, wrote a ticket yesterday with the explanation and the screen and waiting the response…
Hope they can fix this and restore our chars. If not, I will unsubscribe my account
Hi, same thing here. I was in WC in group pug and DC’s.
I know I won’t get the character back, it’s not a problem, but I hope they start doing maintenance on the servers instead.
Both on the hardware and software side.
These random disconnections are annoying in 2023!
Talk to your isp and disable addons and you’ll reduce dcs by a lot.

The fact that they take no responsibility for their own fault is insane, players are acctually paying a monthly fee for a service not provided.
These serverside issues would just require a minor rollback, or a disconnect protection.
The subscription we are paying for should cover:
-
Server Maintenance: Running servers to help cover the costs of maintaining server infrastructure, ensuring that the game remains accesible and functional.
- It is not functional 19 years later.
-
Customer support: Providing customer support, addressing player concerns, and resolving issues require resources. Suscription fees help maintain customer support team to assist players.
-Where is this team? In the early days you would acctually get a non automated response.

I see people mentioning to disable addons etc. To the people dying, which addons are you using?
You should not die to lag, p e r i o d .
In my opinion if the server detected a lag event, all deaths within the lag time frame (normally its less than 1 minute) should be revived.

The most absurd thing is that even though it happened on Stitches, it was zone-based. For example, I died in Tanaris and heard reports of people dying in Barrens, but other zones were unaffected. In addition, while our characters were frozen in place, the world chat, guild chat, and everything else were still active…
