while it is good that people like you are trying to come up with ideas, the only ones that will sort of fix anything now, is an area wide AH, and cross realm guilds. anything else will be bandages, and in most cases, paper bandages.
i know you’re just brainstorming, but this is basically like a WM buff, so having 2 WM buffs. it would be a nice reward for the people refusing to pay for a transfer (like me) but wont actually make anything better.
- i have more gold… cant buy anything cause AH empty.
- i have more xp… no one to play with once i hit 120.
- i have more rep… get to buy rep gated items faster, but still doesn’t increase health of my surroundings.
and giving titles or whatever for people trying to revive servers… i’ve been trying (as shown in other thread shameless plugged below) to do something to that effect, at least on Horde side.
- i’ve made a website so people can get a bit more info,
- i’ve manually counted nearly 30,000 characters on this server to try get accurate data on the health of the server,
- i’ve been able to inspire a discord to be made for Horde here (i had nothing to do with its actual creation, but the guy made it because i was trying to get all the guilds to work together)
- i’ve posted randomly links to both my website, and my forum post and advertised the discord in trade and general on both horde and (more rarely) alliance.
- i’ve contacted over 100 Horde GM’s here suggesting we work together to have more chance of clearing raids, M+ and rated pvp
all this, and i’ve only been able to get about 5 guilds to come together officially. and of those 5, 3 sorta worked already together anyway. at least 3 of them are the 3 largest guilds here.
but by your suggestion, i would qualify for this “revival” title/reward. i would rather give all that up to have a healthy server as it changes nothing if we want to do high M+, or try mythic raid etc.
like radium says, connected AH and cross server guilds are the ONLY way things can be fixed
