Dead servers MEGATHREAD - Ghostlands/Dragonblights plea to Blizzard

I’m guessing no content creators asked about dead realms in any of the interviews.

I would imagine because most, if not all, are on high pop realms. It has been raised on the Community Council forum, with no relevant reply from Blizzard. Even if it were raised by content creators, I don’t expect an informative answer.

Blizzard have consistently avoided the subject. I don’t expect them to suddenly U turn.

It’s nice the CC raised the issue. Shame it got no response :frowning:

It could be a technical issue, they bypass don’t know how to.
A shame if so, good advice they could be given, if ask they would.

Lets enjoy some cool things :sunglasses: while they ponder about that:

Has the “upgrade” to the Auction House helped at all, on dead realms?

It means I can actually sell some of my stuff rather than paying lots of gold every couple of days for it not to sell … though it doesn’t sell for as much as it used to, nor does it help all the old gear/patterns etc that no-one on a small realm wants and no-one else can see.

hey, well it helps the auction house in the sense there are things for sale, and the prices have gone down too.

but it does nto help the social core problem that we cannot find any players to play with on our own server and in our own guilds.

The number of active raiding guilds has gone down even further since Dark Wolves left server and other guilds don’t manage raiding at all anymore. Server continues to decline.

Wanna know, why servers exist in wow currently? To sell server transfers. No other reason why they are a thing.
Predatory customer unfriendly decisions
The only servers that should exist, are one for each language and 1 RP server for each language.

This was posted in CS not that long ago as a suggestion:-

They give Free Character on some Classic realms but seem to ignore Retail.

Yeah it’s a sad thing. Alliance are holding up a little better than horde on Lightbringer, but that’s not saying much.

I saw someone on one of the WoW Facebook pages earlier looking for a new guild (mentioned they wanted to be on a reasonably well populated realm), and someone from a guild on Lightbringer replied. I didn’t have the heart to reply and point out the realm population because I’d love to see the realm get an influx of new people.

“Dead Realms? What? AHAHAHAAHA! Nice one, Josh!”

I don’t think they will ever care.

They should give one bundle transfer for free.

Did blizzard not merge the lower populated servers togather? i remember something like that of a different post…

They did, at the start of SL, but they screwed up with some of the mergers, adding low pop english speaking realms to other European language speaking realms, because they looked at population only not the acctual realms comunitys,

Some of the mergers broke guilds & AH for a week or so,

In short they did such a bad job they just gave up half way through & left a load of the low pop realms un touched & in an awful state for the whole expansion

Been fun having to spend over 2mil gold on legos when i could have gotten the exact same items on tauren mill or silver moon for under 500k

That’s what happened to our realm … we ended up leaving because it was just too expensive. And that was when we could even find legendary base items at all. A lot of the time, the only way to get them, was to make them ourselves, which also cost an absolute fortune just to get to that point.

don’t make turalyon, doomhammer server for new players, we don’t want this noob army

That’s fine, you can send them to Aggramar/Hellscream instead! We’d love some new players to liven the place up :heartpulse:
