I just leveld new alts and main on Draenor cos Nordrassil was pretty much a dead realm on horde, its low pop realm these days, so many servers would be merged but never got merged, ironicly i have characters on Doomhammer to which is new players and pretty low pop as well, i wish they kept their promises to merge more realms instead of ignoring existing problems.
wish i could
Iād be glad if I could transfer this toon to either Tarren Mill or Draenor. Not decided on which I might like more - I have a few very close friends on TM but Draenor is said to be more chill.
Only problem is that my character would get āresetā on the forum
Anyways, since Iām not the only one in this boat, be glad if Retail players too would get a FCM option at last. Even if it was something like 3 toons tops, it would immensely help a lot of players.
Population appears to be piling up on a few select realms and those who began on one of the smaller or dead realms for whatever reasons can be handicapped in endgame severely.
Itās possible to pug your way to the top in M+, but it canāt be said for raiders.
You can make a new Dunkiee on the old realm (after moving). Then keep the posting history.
Awesome, thanks for the headsup
3+ years and still nothing yet classic gets things done like a Thanos finger snap those players ask and they get.
They even get FCM from dead realms to busy ones.
Iāve given up tbh, makes it all the more of a great surprise if they do actuallyā¦ one day do something
Keep dreaming, they get to much money from mass transfers atm.
This seems to mess up TL3 thoughā¦Iāve been unable to get it since transfering and transfering back
Oh no!!! I guess it canāt work out youāre the same person.
Just another bump from a dead realm connected to another even deader realm.
Is Dunemaul still a thing?
Zabra started there 16 years ago. It was home for a long time.
Another person from Aggramar! Hi
Give my server azuremyst some love. Merged with stormrage but its not enough. Whole server is deadā¦
Tbh, at this point we have to assume Blizzard have no intention of doing further server merges. For reasons beyond the wit of man, it seems to be a gruelling, complicated procedure, possibly indicative of a lack of centralised character database.
We can only hope that the lack of action means Blizz are thinking about full x-realm guilds. Weāve just seen the fully global AH, that feels like it might be a hint as to their future intent for the game. A lot would benefit from a properly global (at least regional) playerbase that has no restrictions on interaction.
But it does require Blizz to recognise that nobody cares about realm leaderboardsā¦
It could be their goal to technically connect all realms, but for now itās just speculations on our part.
A world divided will not survive what is to comeā¦ ā¦
Either you come up with an idea to bring back more players or just merge the servers.
Well, with Dragonflight getting a release date thereās no chance of any servers getting connections any time in the near future as the expansion will be the priority. Those of us on low population servers are basically doomed to another expansion of an ever-diminishing playerbase as people move to the more populous servers (Or just quit altogether).
Itās frankly soul-crushing.
Iāve been on the Shaātar server since 2008 or so and have never even considered moving elsewhere, but now? I mightā¦
Well, depending on whether I can keep the name Deezle or not. Kinda attached to that name!
Indeed. I think the only positive is that, in the coming weeks, hopefully the quieter realms will start feeling a little more active as people return again and, as a bonus, hopefully shouldnāt experience any queues at launch time. But thatās pretty much a cold comfort as inevitably that will be short lived. People who come back will either lose interest again and stop logging in, or will realise that theyāre coming back to a dead realm and start looking at alternatives.
What is essentially a spit in the face, is that there have been pretty much constant free transfers and changes to realms for the various classic realms, which begs the question, if they can do it for classic (which, lets face it, was something that for a very long time Blizzard refused to even consider creating) why canāt they do it for retail?
I think the only hope now is that once Microsoft take over, something happens to make them reconsider and actually give a bit more priority to retail servers.
By the way ā¦ there arenāt that many āDeezleā out there ā¦ you might be lucky https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/search/character?q=deezle
I think they are mostly looking to solve the issue with the ah changesā¦and cross faction guildsā¦we will see >.< but my hopes are low.
My guild is mostly working together with other guilds to raid at the momentā¦which is kind of charming in its own way I guess
