What locks are missing to be honest is :
(Very Important)
-Spell casting pushback (it would be nice to be able to cast my UA or SP vs melee more than every 2min where my DC is off cd)
-Dealing dmg heals your pet for a percentage of ur dmg dealt
(Less Important, or maybe OP)
-A good defensive cooldown that can be used while stunned preferably maybe some 20-30% dmg reduction for a duration.
-For tanks something to boost HP cause our fellow feras can reach crazy amount of hp and i am jealous
-Some movement speed Cooldown?
-Everlasting affliction refreshes UA maybe?
-A cooldown that apply all ur dots together
All I want is that Dark Pact scales with spell power 1 to 1. Everything else is fine imo.
That is totally useless without other changes.
You take mana away from your imp so he deals 0 dps instead of 150dps so you can then now use the extra mana to deal same dps as if you would just cast lifetap instead of dark pact.
So you get rid of the losing health for mana and trade it for 150 dps of your imp? Makes no sense to me.
And don’t try to argue “but i use succubus and she is not spending her mana”
Because then your dps is suffering anyway if you dont use imp.
I’ve been doing just fine playing 31/0/10 the entire p3. Dark Pact is completely useless in raids and not usable at all in its current form. DP is 133mps flat while Life Tap is ~450mps, with my current gear. Pets dont have mana issues anymore even with dark pact since they get mana from Life Tap anyway. Outside of raids, Dark pact is also pretty much useless out of combat since food gives way over 133mps. In solo it only saves food out of combat but takes longer and during combat its better to use those globals for dps anyway.
Do you realize that if dark pact gets stronger, you would no longer need to cast life tap, and then your pet goes oom very fast.
This will force you to cast life tap just for your pet mana (and then you drain this mana away with dark pact again…)
It is clear that dark pact needs more improvements to be a justified final talent tree ability. Scaling with spellpower alone would not be enough
This works now in p3…
Try playing 31/0/20 in p4 … you lose ~5% of your dps when you don’t pick ruin talent.
30/0/21 will be the only option (if they don’t add any +5% dps component to dark pact)
27/3/21 or 28/2/21 or 29/1/21 would be also ok because imp is so strong that giving him extra +10% per talent point is worth it.
But it is 100% true that Ruin is 10 times more important than dark pact in the curremt state and even if it would scale 100% with spellpower
True, 27/3/21 is even better than 30/0/21 now that imp has unlimited mana from life tap
I tested this recently and improved imp increases only base damage of the fire bolt not the part that scales with SP, thats one difference when compared to unholy power upgrade of melee pets which buffs their total melee damage including damage from attack power.
Ok so at reaching a certain spellpower level then there will 30/0/21 be superior to 27/3/21. Maybe one day we will find out
-50% on kill quests and -75% on pickup quests would be ok i guess. But do it right now… everyone who has not taken advantage of it until now then it’s their own fault.
And then with p4 launch there should be zero gold reward for this incursion stuff, just completely remove it would be even better
So now we are fixing the game for them ? I feel we have been tricked into thinking this was gonna be a blast, but what we have, WoW classic with some post vanilla spells, one dungeon turned into a raid every two months, no new zone yet. if lvl 60 will be just classic raids tweaked + new runes, I"m out of here.
Also most affliction spells when applied needs to proc on hits effect. Currently drain life, corruption, siphon life, unstable affliction and curse of agony do not proc on hits effects like Blade of Eternal Darkness, Darkmoon Card: Sandstorm, Malevolent prophets 3-set bonus when they land. Applying dots do proc Fracture Mind Pauldrons. So why the disparity? It sucks that these items are not that worthy to seek as an affliction Warlock.
In before someone says “lol dots shouldnt proc” Im not saying ticks should proc. Im saying when the spell lands.

With the new gear improvements on ST loot i can confirm that warlocks are now still below average dps. +20 dps gain maybe.
yah still sucks. new gear doesnt change fact if you roll anything other then distraction your dps is bad
Why modas Karkun is not buffed like ST items? i farmed this 3 weeks for nothing? at least add 7 dmg
