they each (all 5 of the pvp devs) played their characters up to 1300 CR in battleground blitz.
Then they looked at the dps chart and details. They didnt watch ladder, or AWC, or look into class mechanics.

There is a actually a rumor that a lot of balancing blizz does by launching a sim made by themselves, so it is unreliable and has nothing to do with the actual game.
