Dear diary, today I... ✍

In this thread, regale your fellow Argent Dawn forum posters with what all you got up to in the World of Warcraft in the past twenty-four hours. Let’s all get to know each other a little bit better, by sharing glimpses of what our day-to-day ingame activities consist of.

You may talk about anything, from interesting roleplay encounters, to what zone you’re questing and levelling in, or even your latest PvP exploits. Feel free to comment on the experiences of others, and chit-chat away to your heart’s content. Screenshots are always appreciated, but never mandatory!

I will begin, with this diary entry.

Last night, I was trying to get the Worgen heritage armor questline done. In Duskwood, I was reading some quest text, when I was approached by a pair of conmen. One distraction and a shovel to the back of the head later, my character was left for dead.

Luckily, the bandits were being trailed by their previous victims, who had not fallen prey to their schemes. First aid was applied, and a Demon Hunter ran all the way to Darkshire, fetching a trio of elves to provide healing.

A roll for perma or two later, healing magic managed to stabilize my Worgen’s condition. Some levitation magic was applied, and my still-unconscious character was ferried back to Darkshire by the combined group of elves and locals.

At Darkshire, the poor puppy was granted a spot in the infirmary, where a kind Draenei used the power of the light to further mend his wounds. There, he lies slumbering still, a few potions sitting on a nightstand to aid his recovery along whenever he comes to.

And that’s how some mindless questing nearly got my character killed off for good! Luckily, with the help of several groups of kind strangers, his life was saved, and he was spared having to experience the Shadowlands first-hand.

Please, share your own tales, no matter how interesting or dull! Tell us about what you got up to, and don’t skimp out on the juicy details! Recount your highest highs, and your lowest lows. Let us feel for you, let us laugh with you, and let’s see the nitty-gritty of what playing on Argent Dawn is really all about.

Dear Diary, today I went to Darkshire, to get a chomp out of some gloomy RP. What I found instead was that there were more non-humans in Darkshire, a human town, than there humans. That was pretty weird.

I went with it, and idled about, seeing what was going on, and then noticed a group of friendly death knights, as well as a gaggle of worgen. It got me thinking about how absurd it was.

As a citizen of Darkshire, I’d be utterly repulsed by the idea of housing the things we’re meant to fight, friendly or not. It didn’t help, some of the worgen were revolver toting quickshots, who swore every other word, and used so many apostrophes in their accents, that you could genuinely not tell what they were trying to say.

All-in-all, it was fairly lame. I’ll try again tomorrow, and maybe I’ll come across an actual human that lives in Darkshire, instead of another High Elf who decided that the best place for a visit in all of Stormwind is the most dangerous and rundown region.

Worgen cowboys? That sounds like a pretty interesting concept, at least! The Barrens would be a good place to hold such roleplay, but I reckon it’d be kinda hard for Alliance characters to properly fit in there.

In my very limited experience roleplaying there, I’d say that Duskwood has a very diverse roleplaying scene, which I don’t necessarily count as a negative. I’d personally never play a human, and depending on how things go when my Worgen next wakes up, I might end up becoming a part of the problem you describe!

If everyone you interacted with ended up in Darkshire in dynamic manner, as I did, then I don’t see a problem with that at all!

Dear Diary, today i umgakposted on my discords instead of roleplaying.
I’m sorry, it will happen again.

Dear diary, today I’m still on a short, two-day break from roleplay and the game itself.

…So instead I wrote some stories related to roleplay, and set up events in which I will definitely not aim to horribly injure and / or kill my guildmates. Scouts honor.

What’s an umgak?

Suffering is fun. I’m sure your guildmates appreciate all the work you put in, even when you’re not online!

In the warhammer dwarfen language of Khazalid, Umgak means something shoddy and poorly made. Compare to their word for humans; Umgi. This means human things are definitionally poorly made and/or that humans are shoddy.

Because that’s just how dwarfs roll with their casual racism.

Dear Diary,
Today I was on my way to the Stormwind Library to read more about an archeological find we dug up on our last expedition, when a shady Gnome from an alley practically jumped at me and asked to show him my “equine parts” (what ever that means…)
Just when I was ready to polymorph the nasty little creature in to a cockroach (well it would be an improvement) and gave him a good stomping, my knight in shinging armour apeared and kicked the pest back in to the shadows
Well not a knight actually, but a Lightforged Vindicator, but you know what I ment.
Anyhow, it took several minute to relize we knew each other waaaaay back on Argus, and had a wonderfull morning catching up
Alas, he had to go on a patrol, but promised we will keep in touch

[It was a spontaneous walk-up RP what started with an ERP pervert and ended with a nice vindicator. Ignore those creeps kids, but sometimes miracles happen and they are a conversation starters]

They tend to be a little isolated in every setting they’re portrayed in! Courtesy of living in mountains and caves, I suppose.

Must have been talking about your mount! People in Stormwind assume everyone rides horses, since that’s all they’re used to.

Was your character on Argus canonically, or did you OOCly meet them there? Both are cool! I’m very glad to hear you managed to turn a negative into a positive, even if sheer luck was involved!

Yeah, she is from Argus
Never met this LF before OOCly
We just weave a spontaneous lil’ story, becasue he was born there too, not on the ships just he was on Xe’ra’s team then a few thousand years passed
We don’t knew each other that much before, just familiar face/name
The rest was improvised

Very cool! I like spur-of-the-moment roleplay like that. It’s a very dynamic way of adding to your character’s history! A real turn of events, from unwanted advances to encountering a friend you never even knew you had. Stuff like that makes Argent Dawn the best server on the EU realms, really.

Dear dairy, today i spent some of my money for unnecessary amount of wow tokens to get hands on a expensive and unobtainable cooking recipe, I get the gold but as the time for purchase was bout to be done the owner of the product have… well double its price, lets say - its the gold cap. aaauugh

I have yet been able to get in contact of this pricey auctioneer, And i feel its unlikely this individual will bargain a discount deal.

As hoarder and collector of exclusive, limited and rare items my head hurts, so too does a tiny bit on my wallet, but that okay - I just keep my head tall and be patient, prehaps the owner of this recipe will lower its price, or someone else starts to give a good cut!

Well who knows, time will tell atleast. I can for the moment swim in my ocean of gold.

Dear Stone slab of logging,

Today if decided to do it, i went to the ditch in which the undead “cow girl” resides and took her hat, it was a long search i might add, she has beachside property ditches.
As is proper with being a Dust Devil i hid the hat in an abandandoned a̶z̶u̶r̶o̶ a̶z̶u̶r̶e̶ warehouse of an “prestigious” company somewhere on kalimdor and as is tradition i may or might not have rigged the hat.

wait… was this even her hat?

the rest of the stone slab seems to be broken off

:writing_hand: got exposed and absolutely owned
