Hello forum. I thought I might try a new approach. I don’t want to have people think the only thing I do all day is complaining about the state my favorite things about the lore are in. So I will use this new topic instead to rally some people behind me and have the troll community show itself in support.
So I make this quick. Below of this I will post a list of things you like about trolls of any tribe. Fill it in. Have fun comparing.
My favorite tribe: Zandalari and Amani. Quite obvious since those are the ones with the most lore for them. We still don’t know how the Gurubashi Empire fell.
My favorite troll character: Zul and Dazar. Hate him if you must but he created unity among trolls not seen for a long time. That is what all trolls really need these days since it is obvious the Horde abandoned them.
My favorite lore about them: Them defeating the old god forces united and creating the first empire in the history of Azeroth. That was such a good move. Maybe we will get there again one day.
Favorite Loa: Rezan and Sethraliss.
Despite Rezan dying and Sethraliss need to be resurrected they left the biggest impressions to me. A creature that can defeat a C’Thrax is a big deal. And Rezan was able to keep Bwonsamdi at bay. Rastakhan has done lots of damage to his lineage since he allowed the Loa of Graves to become the new patron. I hope this improves in the future and we can get rid of him somehow.
Favorite city: Deffo Zuldazar. Tho Gundrak left a great impression too. All in all the massive buildings all around Zul Drak look so good and speak of the troll ability to turn any land they populate in into something amazing. Sadly there are no tribes left we can explore now. All the greater ones have finished their lore as we can know.
Favorite allies: Sethrak when Vol’dun wasn’t a desert. Honorable mention to the Tortollans who chose to stay with the Zandalari even when they were at their lowest. I wonder if their magic can best the Kirin Tor. The stuff I have seen in Nazmir was top tier.
Favorite race tied ability: It is impossible to ignore the regeneration. Some trolls like Vol’jin could even regrow entire limbs from their bodies after they have been cut off. I have no doubt without their magic the night elves would have never been able to best the trolls at their peak. Like in melee combat such a feat can make the difference in any battle. I am curious if all trolls can do this or just the leaders who are blessed by the Loa.
Favorite mount: Raptors and the Amani war bear. Those are the most iconic. I remember the Zul Aman run where I got mine. Can’t deal with all these other dinosaurs. Didn’t leave an impression for me.
