This is another horrible change for PVP. As an MM hunter I used to have 2 spells that do any damage against plate classes - arcane shot (arcane) and death chakram (shadow).
With 10.2.5 and the new animation death chakram has physical damage. This means it will do no damage to plate and will hit mages even harder.
Come on… you should be rebalancing the spec the other way round
p.s. Oh, and funny thing - Echoing reprimand got a 43% damage buff to compensate for armor, because it was also changed from arcane to physical
So basically we can not take ‘advantage’ of this chakram change since mages have low rep in arena = low chances to meet them, but you meet udk and arms 10x more frequently. They will counter us more. So its a nerf to hunter, many hunters will drop rating because of it.
And they gave rogue buff compensation to reprimand and not to our chakram, it just shows how much they love this class. I have always been thinking these pvp devs play sub 100% taking advantage buffing their own class every expansion adding more and more tools for their class worst thing ever is their shadowstrike which they can spam to connect to you (it has shadowstep built in) its so awful imagine if we could disengage everytime melees can connect to us lmao never gonna happen… Eventually next expansion sub might get 3 vanishes and 2 cloaks im not going to be surprised at all.
Yes, no dmg on plate. On mail im not sure. But it will hit hard on leather like it does on cloth. Im already blasting monk and dh in 2s for real I dont even need to kite them I just press stuff in their face. But warrior and udk is a tough match.
That is not how it works. It will also deal less damage to Mages.
Then you’d be stupid because you don’t play Echoing Reprimand in PvP at the moment. This is a PvE compensation that has no impact in PvP. And even in the patches where ER was played, its damage is irrelevant and bad. You play it for the blue Combo Points.
Try to gather information about whatever you want to talk about before talking about it.
So you are saying they are calling it a big nerf even when the only thing that got touched is the visual effect?
No wonder Nothing Was Said in the patch notes.
They just think it’s happened now with the visual change, while being oblivious to it for the past 2.5 seasons without realising. They just wanna make MM look bad while it’s the exact same. There were no patch notes for hunter either upon 10.2.5 release.
Yea, I double checked the patch notes just to see if I left something out before.
Then double checked wowhead changelogs.
Couldnt see any changes to it except when it was added like you said in 10.0 when it was changed to physical. But oh well
Yeah, there were none, I checked as well. I don’t even remember the last time I saw chakram as shadow damage, I woulda almost put my hand to the fire and said that even in shadowlands it was physical at some endpoint, but I guess not. Either way, they’re just doing their usual thing.
