How to go back after using the Death Gate? Re-using it sends me back to Ebon Hold…
The Death Gate that would port you back to the same location that you used it to enter Ebon Hold to, wasn’t a feature that was added until MoP - Patch 5.4.
Basically, it works as intended as it were in CataClassic.

Nah just like many other retail features its a thing people take it for granted until they suddenly don’t have it or only have the original form in the Classic series and then proceed to make suggestions to bring that actual, super useful feature into the Classic series.
Retail really does a lot of things right, but it’s mainly “invisible”.
Gotta re-open my pink glasses store when Blizzard is going to do a Re-Dive: The Classic Vanilla to Wrath Reboot Series again.
