I don’t think they will mute/ban/kick you for not liking BoS, but probably because of behaviour. I dont like BoS either and i am not kicked/banned/muted in there.

What I can tell from my experience is that they do not like suggestive topics. For example I talked about how Blizzard should redesign Unholy to be a cool spec again and its issues resolved.
I said that Army should be removed and replaced by Dark Arbiter on 3 min CD and pet damage reduced by a huge margin. I also ranted about DK selfheal and said I want Death Pact and Sac. Pact gone for baseline Death Siphon (much more selfhealing than our overnerfed Death Strike now).
These dudes defended the current Unholy and said everything is fine with DK. They didn’t offend me but I kinda lost interest posting and following the chat in there.

Yeah, they’re constantly talking about Unholy’s problems, its down time and other issues. Please get your facts correct.
They probably disagreed with you because your suggestions for changes, does nothing to actually address unholy’s true problems…

This topic is so dumb and untrue. 
From Acherus you can get answers to all concerns related to DKs and you can discuss freely of any class related topics without fear of ban. If you cannot behave or you break the forum rules that can of course lead to be kicked out, which is kind of standard procedure everywhere.

This, it’s very sad how frosts entire identity and great legacy is being reduced to this, by a gatekeeping ivory tower discord that makes sure the “correct” way to play the frost DK makes its way to the tired devs.

Exactly, they are fake knights with a platform keeping our already neglected class from ever evolving, when was this discord founded? just after Legion? if so i might suspect why our gameplay and changes have been so weird and trashy, if they themselves gatekeep to their false vision of a class hijacked from the absolutely stellar devs that loved it and created it back in Wrath, we all know those devs are now gone replaced by people that dont play the class for real, and they listen to these stooges since they seem to honey their words and play ball with the tired spiteful devs. You know this makes sense so come at me anyone who doubts.

If you do not understand the written rules of the forums, I am sorry, but that is your problem and no-one else’s.
If Blizz devs listen those “Ivory Tower” people why they would still bring back 2-H if that is what all elitists are against? Developers may take account the feedback but they have a lot of data from their own behalf.
Last time today Mythic raiders helped a WoW and a FDK newcomers to getting started with the game, giving leveling and end-game tips without pushing their own agenda. Overall the community is very helpful and the debate between DW, 2-H, BoS, Obliteration, is not that serious.

I know i am being extremely acidic here beyond toxic but that is how i see things, at specific cutoff points in history ever since this class was created in wrath alpha, and indeed why would they bring back 2-hand if they did not listen?..perhaps they do listen, perhaps they are not playing favorites, perhaps they some of the few people that actually cared about frost and Dk in general in the consolidated blizz class design team got their will through, and perhaps some other devs saw and immideatly made sure it was sub par and would implement very questionable ways to balance it without ever having the goal of truly giving it back, but to shut people up? i dont know but its getting hard to think in any other manner when you are bombarded by proof that things are what they are, countless forum posts on how to even out frost, on how to balance 2 hand, on how to create more final row talents that are equally intricate as BoS but not as unwelcome as a eskimo fur coat in a sauna like BoS is, people writing long intricate ways on how to improve the class in complexity and manner. blood frost and unholy i might add, people on the forums themselves volunteering to fix things as far away as years ago…nothing… ignored and cast aside, fun ideas on how to improve frosts very milquetoast but thematic mastery… and nothing was done, while Arms warriors are on their what? seventh mastery tweak right now? It is VERY clear that there is always a way to balance things and improve things for the better, they just dont want to do it, to be proven wrong that their butchering of the Entire essence of the DK class come mid Cataclysm and forward, for example a poster on the US beta forum’s, suggested pretty early in beta how to fix 2 hand and dual wield and such issues, remove MoTFW, allowonly one runeforge on mainhand, razorice baseline/baked into mastery, shuffle some damage around etc etc. There IS ways to easily just take one step out of this balance hole they have created, but they dont want to, and so does the elitists

Of course the things I suggest adress Unholy’s core problems. And you want to tell cause you are Mythic raiding as well as doing M+ and also did arena to 2.4k rating, right?
Yeah they talk about the down time problem, but all they mention are minor tweaks. Majority of what they are talking about is what currently performs the best from the possible given choices for Talents, essences etc…

I’m personally always happy to discuss any topics related to death knights on the discord. I also don’t feel like it’s that meta-centric. I always consider synergies for all different builds.

My experience there is it just has a lot of, how do I put this, people who can come across as elitist, for no real reason. They’ll answer in memes or passive aggressive quips. Most of them are alright but some people seem to use it as a general socialising place rather than just a place to dip in and out of and it can feel like you’re not part of the club by the way they respond.
Also, remember it’s full of Americans who, with nothing against them, socialise in a different way to most of us over here in Europe and it can be quite acerbic.
When I first joined it wasn’t bad and I checked the chat more often but when I checked it out several months ago it seemed to have declined. Hopefully when Shadowlands releases all the people who want to only deal in actual information will show up and change the atmosphere back.

Yeah not everybody refuses to have a discussion about suggestive topics and you are sure one of them!
But I feel there are quite a lot people that consider it a waste of time to talk about things how they could or should be. Again, no one in the Discord was offensive in any way. But they suggested very clearly that they are not interested in those wishful thinking debates.

Biceps, dont get me wrong, your work is one of the better ones but it’s hard to be reasonable when you and a few others are the only slow and methothical and respectful voices left, overall.

Haha im banned over there because they dont take any suggestions (rather than breath) or try to work with you for any other build than one they have seen on twitch.
Ps Dont tell an elitist dk how to play i probably have a decade more exp than 99% of that discord.

you would be suprised just how many people with power abuse it, add in that most people on discord are just regular joes, and some are sociopaths that enjoy having that power to hurt others
