Death Knight for everyone? Pandarens, vulperas? Even for Lightforged Draenei? Excuse me but this looks too cheap. Before in WoW every race and classes were bounded by lore and thus reasons and logic but now it looks like you are going to allow all races to be absolutely any class. This is a very cheap and lazy way, simply allow anything. It takes much less of work and doesn’t add anything new to the game. Is this how you justify not adding new classes and races? Allied races also is a cheap way of adding new races, instead of dedicating hard work and time in creating a lore bounded, with own story, with unique animations quality product. I can’t understand why you couldn’t simply add more customization options instead of adding the same race but with different skin colors or body type and calling it a “race”. And yet allied races were at least something new, better than nothing but allowing everyone to be DK. Imagining pandaren DK is just amusing. When Lightforged Draenei Death Knight even judging simply by this combination of words is a pure absurd and nonsense. Are they going to surrender their own principles and Light?
A Gnome Warrior deals just as much damage as an Orc Warrior
A male Orc Rogue is just as sneaky as a female Human Rogue
A Forsaken Monk is no less physically capable than the Human he once was
Orc, Panda and Draenei Mages know the exact same arcane arts as the Mages trained in Dalaran
The list goes on, and on, and on.
There have always been lore concessions in the name of making classes playable on more races.
This is a dumb statement.
There is a difference between lore and gameplay.
What in lore is there to stop any race from being a DK?
They are being raised from the dead. Not a lot of choice in that one for them, even for the light forged.
they only real question is what eye color will light forged death knights have
still weird to think about light forged death knights just by the name of it. Everything else is ok
death knight pandas are also really weird though, but so are pandas in general in wow and should have never been added.
technically mechagnome death knights are also strange
Imagine the out cry if wow’s races would work with real world rules and limitations.
Gnome warrior would only be able to wear cloth/leather but would be fast and dodgy as hell.
Tauren would be power house slow but could oneshot almost any other race.
Forsaken rogue not be able to stealth because all the bone cracling and corpse smell.
There’s lore behind that. Details are to be shown but there are hints that Bolvar expected Sylvanas to attack him and decided to call for reinforcements - the pandaren/AR DKS will have their own starting questline that’ll explain it more.
The moment they gave gnomes the Death Knight class you knew how cheap it was. This is not surprising at all.
Not as much as Aleria, as a void entity, is pregnant to Turalion’s baby, who is lightforged.
And thus she is going to bring literally Twillight Jesus. (due to Horde bias of course)
actually if you look at their spindly little arms and legs compared to their wide bodies they probably wouldnt be very agile at all. Only really good for a ranged DPS!
I dont get the issue…DKs are the easiest class to explain lore wise. They are literally just dead bodies raised by the Lich King, meaning all you need is a corpse.
Only thing that gets me is that when we die we go to the spirit healer and are resurrected. So why doesnt that happen to DKs??
And isnt the Shadowlands supposed to be a land of the dead? Where do they come from if we all just resurrect all the time?
Good, I always hated the Race restrictions in WoW. Every Race should be able to become every class.
You know, Pigeonholing Professions to specific Races/Social Groups is something the Russians tried long ago. Didnt really work.
