Death Knight hero talent bug?

I’ve retruned to wow after 1,5years, and testing new builds etc. I just noticed one thing on DK’s hero talent: ‘‘On a pale horse - While outdoors you are able to mount your Acherus Deathcharger in combat.’’ So yes, it lets me mount my DK class mount and ride it while on combat… but i’ve noticed this aswell: You can do that with any other mount… during combat, i can just mount up my al’ar and fly away if i wanted to. But the combat system only works with the class mounts. So i’m wondering, is this a bug or intended, let the DK’s mount up flying mounts during combat with this talent?

The only mount you are able to use as a combat mount is your death charger. Any other mount acts as normal. If you are able to fight while mounted on any mount then yes its a bug, but if youre just able to quickly hop on any mount and take off during combat it may be a bug, by default the game won’t let you mount during combat. I cant confirm right now as im not in WoW and I have that talent as a change to Deaths Advance, so I haven’t seen it. To be honest though, its a bit if a waste of a talent choice, its a throwback to a Legion Class Hall perk, the outdoor mounted combat is only really viable for levelling from 70 to 80.

You’ll get far more use in endgame by switching it.

Yea, i can only fight with DK class mount, but i cant fight with lets say nightsaber mount. But while in combat, with that talent on, i literally can mount any mount i have, if it can fly, i can just fly out, while in combat, by default i shouldnt be able use mounts while in combat, but with talent it should be only the class mount, none other. But with that talent… somehow i am able to do it.

Ok sorry for late reply but iv’e just tested it and yes it does appear you can mount and fly off when in combat. It’s been so long since ive used this talent that i honestly can’t remember if it’s intentional or not as I only used it when I was still unable to use flying.

It may be worth putting a bug report in unless it can be confirmed it is a bug or intentional.
