You just killed your own argument. You agree it’s okay to state what is clear as day.
Flynn and Shaw’s relationship is forced; terrible and was only allowed because it was wrote by a racist bigot writer who should’ve never been employed in the first place and only pandered to other virtue signalling garbage humans.
Your opinion only… and I disagree, I got the distinct impression from the questlines that Flynn, was possibly not just heterosexual.
Shaw gave me no particular reason to have an opinion in any direction, although as Hexelyion stated, the line ‘I thought I saw you glance in my direction’ could be construed in a number of ways, since it implies Shaw was checking out your character, which might or might not be due to a ‘professional’ interest.
I think the only character I would comprehensively state was heterosexual, from memory, is the female Goblin NPC quest giver in Crossroads (if I remember correctly) who is very obviously hostile to female player characters during the quest chain, her attitude is very friendly to male player characters
It would be in Blizzards best interest to close this thread due to conflicting views. This post was clearly made to get ridiculous reactions and is now going off topic and onto a more political discsion which I think goes against the forums TOS.
Why regressive? Just patriotic, valuing their own traditions and virtues. Good traditions.
Look what happens to the so called progressive countries, when you forsake your own culture, traditions and become open to people who don’t share them cough France cough Austria.
“Based on what you wanted to see”. No. Based on them very literally having them be romantically and sexually attracted to WOMEN. Never once did they show any interest in men. Only women.
The only one seeing only what they want to see here is you. Now begone, oh Tahra of the “I REFUSE TO DO ANY CONTENT THAT CAN’T BE QUEUED FOR BECAUSE IT’S ELITIST.” Have you done Court of Stars yet, troll?
Actually, this is nonsense. One of my best mates, known him since we were twelve, very much a ‘man’s man’ always on the pull, eventually got married (to my then girlfriend’s sister, which was weird) had a kid, got divorced, entered a long term gay relationship for years, which came out (pun not intended) of the blue to everyone, it didn’t work out, he then found a new lass, and is now remarried.
There were no ‘tells’.
Sometimes people just want different types of love at different times, sometimes they always look for the same kind of love. Eh, people be people…
Never got that vibe from him, in all honesty i had more bi vibes from Taellia than from Flynn.
Wooden but he had some spy-esque flirty lines with Valeera.
Harming no, i just find it discusting when characters are changed to fit a quota, wich imo this is. It is correct that it was never said that these characers are not into men aswell, but coining bi is really the cheapest trick in the book. For the 10th time in this tread i will repeat myself, but seeing as you are reasonable here we go again. If a character is portraid only to have interest in the opposite sex that character would most likely be perceived as straight, to avoid this IF it was planed all along and not just made up to please fanfic writhers and ship-ers it should have atleast be hinted at from the start. With both FLynn and Shaws case we had ample oportunity to do so, Shaw has been in the game since the start and due to Flynn’s promiscuous nature e could have said “i once dated a guy who >input anecdote here<” in his drunk quest, or he simply could have flirted with the PC, i will acnoladge that the line "Im thirsty? Are you thirsty? " could be perceived as such but it was so veigh that it flew over many peoples heads be tehy straigh/gay/goat.
Many people including myself see this as retconing just for the sake of virtue signaling, and i connot speak for everyone but I myself dont have a problem with gay relashinships, i do however have a problem with gay people beeing used to tick a box so the media can writhe articles about them.
Us gay unbothered people watching all the homophobes being mad about ingame characters loving each other, but not investing the same energy when its a heterosexual relationship
Yeah, because authors write to win awards and not to sell their books and make a living. Some shiny award and gift certificate for Whole Foods make a way better living.
Of course awards boost sales, but so do some television pries praising a bad piece of bad literature pandering to their relgious views. Even more so if a politician tweets or retweets such a praise. I bet there is a lot of money to make with such art. Maybe even more as with some weirdo award nobody cares about.
