As the title said, the talent “Dark talons” is supposed to make the runic power spenders shadowfrost, it does NOT do that with death strike, not on Blood Not on Frost, and not on Unholy.
if its a feature im sad, and if its a bug, it will not easily be fixed quick i reckon
It doesnt say that, it says it “counts” as shadowfrost,meaning that your deathstrikes will also contributes to your reaper’s mark counter.
When theres a change in dmg type they always use "now deal"followed by the dmg type,afaik.
that is how it can be interpreted, but the thing is that froststrike’s damage changes to shadowfrost, as per the combat log.
yet death strike does not change to shadowfrost, in all specs
