Debuff for Innervates

With Ulduar releasing, logs have shown healers being innervated up to 7 times in a single boss fight. I’ve seen logs with 25-30 innervates received by a single healer in an Ulduar full clear.

This sort of behavior distorts healer expectations and demonstrates a lack of understanding the class and playing fairly.

My suggestions is that there should be some sort of debuff for innervates in boss fights if given to anyone besides the druid whence they originated. That would allow people to receive an innervate when needed absolutely, and not to pump healing to unreasonable levels for healers who are not in a position to demand all these buffs.

It was never a thing as it shouldn’t be now. Raid Lead should watch for reasonable spending of raid recourses and cooldowns. If they can take 7 druids and find wasting all of their innervates on one healer reasonable, then by all means it is their choice after all. Limiting innervate in any form will limit the number of druids (especially feral cats) and as feral cat alt enthusiast I find this limitation counterproductive.

Innervate has 3 min cd. Probably 2 rounds from 4 druids or even 3 rounds from 3 druids on a long fight like yogg 0 is my guess. Feeding a hpala who just spams for 8 min straight.

Innervate have a 3min CD. And you usualy dont have enough druids to do what you are suggesting.

Well geared hpala can spam for 8 mins without single innervate.

And then it only stops because he got DC’d for being away.

He sure as hell cant spam for even half of that on a fight like algalon.

Even so the biggest reasons druids can afford it is that boomkins can go DS+Intensify and have infinite mana at a 100dps loss. Resto druids can have massive aoe healing by just spamming rejuve and WG, this with all their spirit means they barely go oom after several minutes of spamming this in bis gear, meaning their innervate can be used on someting better like a resto shaman whose healing is very usefull but expensive.

If they spam WG they go OOM super fast. What you do is blanket raid with rejuvs and then you can go for a very long time.

They just use them on cooldown. it has a 3mn CD so in many boss fights it can be used twice by a druid.

In most resgards it isnt even that bad, since WG isnt a cast you still get spirit regen, so again you can spam far more rejuve+WG than most other healers can their alternatives for max output, when disregarding their own cds for mana regen like innervate.

Simple solution: have your GM play a mage and demand all innervates.
