Mage had a talent that increased frost spell range up until the rework. After the rework Mage was overtuned so nobody cared about it losing Deep freeze range. But now that game turned into a freakshow meta mage needs 25 yards deep back.
Why does deep freeze need a longer range? It’s a magic debuff which can be dispelled. So unlike most stuns it’s usually not used on the kill target but on the healer instead. As a Mage it can be very hard to get that close to the enemy healer.
personally i find stuns boring lame and a lazy gameplay, and only A FEW classes should have them, i don’t feel like mage shouldve a stun, i enjoyed impact stun on fireblast during cataclysm, thats it, when deep became a thing in mop i felt bored, every combo was deep > trinket or deep > burst, its not fun.
I mean this kinda comes down to most specs/classes. Ppl want buffs and new things because of… reasons xd
It will be interesting though to see how much Augmentation Evoker will break the game.
i have my way with ret paladins when they wander in 2v2 and are essentially alone when they come with healer, its only problematic when they are with another mate like warrior what they usually are in other settings
