Any plans to rework this talent with a reasonable proc chance, because current one is beyond trash, noone in the right mind using it.
Season 3 tier 2 set has more chance to proc ascendance than this crap.

That’s a problem with season 3 tier set, which to be fair will get nerfed again (was already nerfed once).
But even without changes, there is a good chance that DRE will become the default pick and overtake Ascendance next season, depending how it interacts with the tier set.
I dont know about pve but I think its going to be totemic for PvP again
Maybe, will see, but i dont have my hopes up.
At the moment DRE for enh is 3-4% behind in st 5m fight (sim). I literally can play DRE instead of Ascendance and only lose 90k dps (when i am doing 2.8m), which is nothing.
Now next tier set does 2 things:
- 2 set: the Asc procs actually increases the MSW generation, which translates into more DRE procs (cause of more spending), also each ascendance gives you one more tempest.
- 4 set: Ascendance gives your next 2 tempest a damage buff
If that tier set is not tuned, but plays as it reads, that means that Ascendance total uptime is not that important, but ascendance ACTIVATIONS, are the primary factors.
So yeah, I am more worried about being forced into DRE than actually DRE being behind.
Set 2 nerfed again, now 8 proc need to proc asc. On release we reach 20 proc.

If that’s the nerf then we are pretty chilling, but think there’s gonna be more. Tier set is still a dps increase close to 30%.
Edit: Nevermind, they must be smoking something over there, because its not even a nerf. They buffed the duration from 5 seconds to 8 seconds to compensate for less procs.
