Deeply rooted elements has been one of the most interesting and fun talents since its introduction in shadowlands for both ele and enha. Most shaman players would agree that the most fun is when you can have both ascendance and DRE as a passive (just like ele does atm).
There was a recent bluepost mentioning that the proc chance of DRE will be altered in the future to be based on maelstrom stacks spent. However, I think the fact that you can’t have both DRE and ascendance is the bigger problem.
To elaborate on my latter statement, i belive it to be a problem because its a just “one or the other” situation, where one will be the choice in every type of content because its better. In DF it was always DRE because it was better, now (current state) it will always be ascendance because that one is better. Just give BOTH, elemental already has both of them. Enhancement needs both too, players love these talents. This will vastly increase the fun factor of the spec (its already great, but it can be even better).
Also remove Doom Winds from gcd, the button bloat for cds is unbearable.

Hm I don’ know about that. I never really liked DRE that much because it added another RNG-element to a class which was already heavily dependent on RNG. (at least regarding Ele and Enhance) Having too much randomness contributes to having much variances on output which makes the gameplay feeling too chaotic imo.
i think it should still be a separate talent node. Since players have 10 talent points to spend on the last 1/3rd of the talent tree, and arguably the 9 of them are already pretty much necessary (for stormbringer), I would say that if DRE was placed under Legacy and legacy was turned into a 1 point node, it would basically be you choosing between prim wave, DRE, or elemental spirits for your last point. This makes DRE be not mandatory & you can still take prim wave or whatever u prefer over it.
Sounds good I’d say. I’m also absolutely on board regarding Doom Winds. Even now after you do some initial dmg on use it feels slow and clunky to press. Maybe they don’t want enhance to feel too similiar to other “more fast paced” melees(?) But this button in particular should be off the GCD. Especially since its duaration is pretty short anyway.
Doom winds would feel good to press with a gcd if it had an initial hit of 500-1m, but unfortunately the initial hit is just the same as the dot tick which is like 70-90k dmg (barely noticable)
doom winds does a lot overall dmg now but you kind of dont even notice it at all.
they always reinvent the wheel and destroy things.
it was a perfectly fine in legion. why change it anyways? Big WFs was just pure fun.

They should remove deeply rooted tbh
in DF Enha became kind of a battle mage spec, and they later doubled down on that idea with Stormbringer tree and now with this change to DRE.
I would rather have a choice node, where you can choose to activate it via spenders or builders. They could also add another branch to it, that would upgrade your attacks, to give you choice vs branch that already improves spenders.
I agree that it would be best if enh had access to both DRE and Ascendance.
I think you misspelled Wrath. That was the expansion enha got MSW charges and became a battlemage.
They tried to make it into fury warrior in legion and bfa, but they had no real idea with what to do.
Tbf I would not really mind having the option to play both, although I think blizz has pressed a “pause” button on the enh changes in 11.0.5, and they will pick it up in a later patch.
