anyone used this legendary? in all settings, raid, m+, pvp.
How does it perform? obviously gonna be worse than Doom Winds but where does it stand?
What talents should go with this?
i loved it in Legion and im between this or Wolf Bones for 2nd leg
ascendance without doom winds is just not great at all.
Didn’t really test it but I guess it is just terrible on top of the rng crap
I played with it for 2 months and it’s kind of bad atm. As said above, Ascendance isn’t game changer but the burst of nature Dmg is what this leggo is really about.
It can crit for up to 10k, on every target, on top of the activating Stormstrike, which can lead to big bursts. I’ve seen ennemies disappearing in a single Stormstrike proc. The ascendance itself is meh BUT since it reduces the cd on Stormstrike by 66%, you can spam it and therefor you’ll have more chances to activate it again. I’ve seen it proc 4-5 times in a row, which leads to big ascendance uptime. Overall tho, this leggo would be better (for pvp at least) if it did proc on every 4 Stormstrike or smtg.
The randomness can be fun at first, but the more you play it the more you’ll experience not having any proc when you need it, and the less you are gonna love it.
I still use it from time to time in battleground, if you manage to make it proc in big melees with Skyfury totem and it crits, your Dmg will skyrocket. The 6 sec ascendance are a bonus imo. I obviously played with Earthen Spike, which increase the initial Dmg as well as the Stormstrike spam that follows.
i was gonna ask this, if i go DRE i should go ES as well? i think in bgs it could really shine, but i dont want to waste my 2nd legendary… Maybe Frost Witch for pvp?
If you are like me and you absolutely want to avoid Doom Winds and do pvp, it’s going to be Legacy of the Frost Witch for sure
its not that i want to avoid DW, it is clearly the best, i just want to try out something else. I get super annoyed when i pop DW or ascendance and i get cc or blocked, its too easy to counter. Thanks for the replies, ill see what ill do!
