I played retpaladin up to 622, and uhdk up to 624. Now working on my warrior currently on 620. When on paladin or dk, im just… oki i caught that one in the face, lets heal/LOH/bubble… or lets ams/icebound/deathstrike.
On Arms warrior i die alot, unless healer are carrying me!
An impeding victory at the wrong time or a spellreflect at the wrong time and HP pot on CD…Doongs me out and im dead.
Tried to look at the talent tree, and pick up some more defensive utilites. only options in generaltree along the “standard route” are Bitter immunity on 3min CD, endurance training 10% hp, pain and gain
All three require me to drop out from thunderous roar with extension.
Bitter immunity - 3min CD hardly worth it…
Endurance -10%hp is some nice static buffer,
Pain and gain -2% at 10sec is it worth it? all failed mechanics usually leave a heavydot?
In arms tree, i could possible swap out collateral dmg with Ignore pain
Do i just need to get good to play an arms warrior?
Or am i missing out on some main defensive stuffs here?
Looking at fury you get the enraged generation natural on your way down… would help quite alot… maybe need to play that instead?
If you die, it is very likely you standing in stuff or your gear being too low for the content you are doing. Warrior got the tools to live, don’t worry.
Now if you want more control over your own HP gains, Fury have a marginal advantage there. So if you are not married to arms, just go Fury.
But it sounds like a skill issue, either on your side or the healer.
For PvP: no, you are not missing something. Ignore pain would be the go to, but its shield is low and arms is generally pretty squish - at least you do decent damage sometimes.
For PvE dungeons: arms has neither the tools nor the damage to make it a good damage dealer in keys higher than +11. Just play fury, honestly, even for keys below that.
What both of them said + did you took second wind? It’s minor but if you are not slacking in puddles or having a dot, it will put you back up overtime.
In Arms, a potential combo to heal is if available to Roar + Skullsplitter with Fueled by Violence. Again it’s not a LoH, but it will bring you back up.
First and foremost… yes ofc its a skill issue to take a mechanic in the face but would be nice with some kinda way to soften the fall. And again my other charachters have that on baseline, while Arms need to take away a main dmg ability.
Ive did some fury yesterday allthough not used to rotation yet… but Enraged generation + a 20% BT, gives alot more survivability. And me as a 620 also get a wooping 450k extra HP from dw another weapon, almost 7% HP there.
My overall dmg in a dung maybe a little bit better, but my burst is alot more fun and biig, which helps out especially on certain trashpacks.
So guess i be doing fury from here and on
My own conclusion is that Arms is hard, Arms have design issues… mainly the lack of utility, lack of survivability and in the same time bring subpar dmg.
Atleast one of these 3 paramameters should be in the category excellent but noone are.
Atleast for the averagejoe, maybe some high end player prove me wrong.
That was a actually a really cool thing, never thought about it.
Yeah ret is another monster… too much of everything, and crap no-brain “rotation”.
Have you seen the latest Meta? No healer dual paladin.
youtube/watch?v=0VgbAWfC7AA
Ret pulling same dips as full bis fury warrior, while healing everyone and constantly typing in chat.
Seems legit.
I couldnt stand playing paladin, feelt wrong… but maybe im a masochist
in gen DBTS will save u, and Defensive stance is also a very very strong defensive, but as arms, if u start thinking about healing AFTER u take dmg, u are allready dead myfriend <3
Fury is definitely what you’re after. It has more self healing so it’s slightly more forgiving of mistakes and that healing is baked into the core rotation.
