Definition of allied race?

Kul Tirans say hello.

Kul Tirans are the exception, not the rule. Then again, quite ironically, they are literally nothing more than fat humans.

Let’s do an example: let’s say Blizzard return with the classic race introduction, so not the Allied Race, but the ones that actually had their own leveling zones, that start at level 1 etc…and they deliver us the Broken for the Alliance and the Vrykuls for the Horde…couldn’t we say that they are literally nothing more than long ago corrupted Draenei and bulky and muscolar Humans?

I don’t think there is a real rule about the allied races must be a reskin of the original ones. That was the case for the first 6 ones, but it doesn’t set up a rule by itself, as we have seen for not only the Kul’Tirans, but for the Zandalari too (even if we already have seen them).

Yes they are both fat humans and bulky trolls, but honestly i don’t find it as an argument that justifies a ā€œreskin rule for the ARā€, because if Blizzards released any new race we’ve already seen, even if not a reskin, alot of them share something with the original ones (i’m taking into account the ones that could mostly be playable, so not races like Dragonkins etc). i mean, even if Blizzard add the Doommaidens we could say that they are empowered Eredars, aka Draenei (the Doommaidens are the winged female demons you can see on Antorus, like Portal Keeper Hasabel for example, these just share the Metamorphosis of the Havoc DH model, the only difference is that instead of having Elf lineaments, they have the Eredar ones, and wear skimpy Plate Armor). Still, these are corrupted Draenei, but i would love to play as one of them, Allied Race or Normal Race it wouldn’t make any difference to me

But the fact there IS an exception breaks any rule; there IS no rule on what constitutes an allied race. Could be a slightly different rehash of an existing race or it can be a totally new model. But that brings me to…

That’s not the point. They are new unique models.

But, yeah, they are a new version of humans. In THAT way allied races are still themed as ā€˜new variations of existing races’ and not ā€˜totally new seperate races’. With THAT I will agree.

So we might not get the vulpera as an allied race for instance, since they’re not ā€˜a different version of goblins’. They use the skeleton, but maybe that’s not enough.

So far all the allied races are variations of races we already have. Maybe with the redesign of goblins and worgen they will take advantage of that and create 2 versions of those races based off of the new models.

Time will tell.

I like the allied races  they ceep people log and playing the game  beside that what would be BfA without them?
I think that the best allied races are about to come with the last patch . We have to do something before the new expansion hits …

(even) More boring?

Um, not quite.

An Allied race is one you come into contact with while playing the game.

Once you have sufficient rep with that race, and have completed any other requirements. You then have to complete a scenario so that you are able to add them to your faction. At which point they become a playable race.
