I actually used to be a Blood Elf, not just in lore. When I came here I foolishly had the assumption I would be able to look almost the exact same… little did I know that in the hairstyle department I had 3 choices: short, balding, or emo. I settled for the latter as it was the lesser evil.
People claiming velf and belf need different hairstyles to differentiate themselves are just crazy tbh. Maybe tell Alleria she is doing it wrong then, because apparently the first step of dabbling in the void is getting a new haircut.

To be fair Alleria has a unique hairstyle, that blood elves don’t have.
And yeah I hate that dabbling in the void makes me go bald.

There is nothing wrong with balding hair tho. It’s natural, if it’s real life.

I find it unbelievable these people still exist in 2023. No wonder you stopped talking to those people in particular.
My best friend is a high elf fan (not the kind of your ex friends though lmao) and she is having a blast with her high elf. That’s all that matters to me, happy players. 
I think it’s dumb lorewise for them to have different hairstyles. But I also think it’s important that void elf fans get to have some unique customizations that let them tell their characters apart from blood/high elves. It’s not something I really care about, but I know there is a small group who does.
So yeah, let’s share some hairstyles, but let’s have a few unique ones too for each race/political faction/whatever.

Honestly I wouldnt mind if they just straight up removed both races. 
The next patch is coming soon, there will only be new hair colors for the Zandalari trolls, nothing else ?

The idea of a High elf mage always caught my Attention ever since WOTLK.
The Mages in Dalaran, the Mage trainor in Stormwind being a High elf.
All this factors.
Glad I can make one today using Void elves. 
although the males will face some balding issues

I think Blizzard understood that there were a lot of people who really wanted Alliance High Elves as a playable race.
I wonder what they are planning for the void elves as they still haven’t received any new hairstyles, beards, jewelry, tattoos… like the other Legion allied races.
You want blood elves with blue eyes. Nothing about that idea is original. You just hate to be Horde for it to do.
Why wait? There are some sick transmogs for it ingame.

Hell no.
I think it was a huge mistake to give them even the skin, eye and hair colors from blood elves.
Void elves should be voidy, have eyes in their forehead, tentacles spawning from their backs, slit eyes like N’zoth, etc…
They’re void elves, not blood elves, not high elves. Deal with it.
Right now, they can have tentacles or look like High elves.
So… I guess, you have to “deal with it.”

They look like high elves minus the blood elf hair styles. So the fans won and Blizzard gave them what they wanted.
