I am trying to delete my BNet account but the page is in a constant loop and not letting me. The support page does not allow you to freely type a message as it detects what you are saying, second guesses and sends you to the looped page.
Another thing, if I ever get there, why should I have to wait 30 days until it’s deleted? Surely this is a hopeful trick that we will change our minds?
Try it from another browser, see if the same thing happens again.
Exactly. And to reduce risk of somebody who has gained access to the account and maliciously deleting it before the owner can cancel it.
Correct. Also, some people do stupid things while drunk - a 30 days period of being able to roll back is fine.
Imagine Blizzard did NOT give that option … yikes!
The number of people hitting “Yes, delete my account permanently” plus the extra four “Are you really REALLY sure?” popups would surprise you!
