Deliverytime of Collectors Edition?

Thinking of buying Dragonflight CE from Blizzard but have no clue how it works. How are the deliverytimes, living in Sweden? Does the codes include in the box or are they added to the account at time of buying with the box alone arriving later?

If Blizzard are anything like Amazon pre orders, you should get the item well before, but the actual game wont activate until release date. I think it includes a boost and other things as well, these usually activate when the pre patch is opened.

In my experience they’re not, and they have even recommended buying another edition instead, then automatically getting a refund when you activate the CE key after launch, and this refund will only be to Blizzard balance, which will then be consumed by subscription payments.

Then your experience is different to mine.

Pretty sure this is against the law, a refund should be to the payment method used.

Amazon does often send a few days in advance, but I’ve never seen Blizzard’s store do that.

They explain more here:

That’s a little complicated, because you’ll of course have added it to your account and used the services contained therein, including the mounts etc.

I agree with you you should be able to receive a refund though, and it might be the law, but who knows what Blizzard will do if you try.

It’s not that complicated, the mounts can be removed from your collection, and any boost used walked back.

In the UK at least it’s illegal to refund anything to an incorrect payment method, it’s considered under very strict money laundering rules. The customer must be refunded exactly as paid, and that’s that.

Hey, I’m not the one that needs convincing x’D

Thats only relevant if nothing of the product has been used. If the user activates anything if the product, then the item has been deemed used. However, if nothing is activated, then yes UK law insists the original payment method must be used for the refund.

now that activision blizzard has shifted from paris to london .i am pretty sure they would be following the laws of uk . because if they dont they can get into pretty bad legal problems.

You could try contacting the store and see what their intentions are with when they intend to dispatch the CEs.

I honestly don’t get why they can’t just e-mail the code in that’s in the box, as it’ll be worthless when the box is delivered anyway.

Thanks for all the answers. still missing someone having any clue about deliverytimes of physical stuff from the shop.

Trying to figure out how to contact the “shop” to ask but can´t find how to. .

One thing to remember, though not sure if this is still relevant, but does the shop exist in the EU, because there was a time it was US only, and that ofc would mean longer delivery times, and/or import taxes.

The estimated time of this pre-order is December 31st, which means that if you buy the pre-order, the shipment will be from December 31st onwards. We still don’t have an specific time, as it is so ahead of time.
