Deluxe Mount + HS Animation Is Not Classic

Can we please rewind to the Blizzcon conference when they had a presentation advertising Classic. When they were so adamant about the Classic experience and maintaining the way it was with very VERY small quality of life changes.

Let’s fast forward through Vanilla Classic where they had paid realm transfer. That was it, and I must say it was great. Now into TBC Classic they flog paid mounts and hearthstone animations to players, not mentioning that the mount is so deliberately large so players feel like money well spent, as well as the overly large animation for hearthing - players totally wouldn’t sit in crowded places with or without enlarging potions, or spam the HS casting animation in the AH or crowded places to disturb others…they totally wouldn’t.

The boost? It’s not great, but it’s only a one off and doesn’t add something into the gameplay itself that wasn’t there before. The cosmetic items in game that weren’t there at the time? Simply is not Classic and shouldn’t be there, and it’s sad that there are people who seem to be genuinely defending it. I would bet they are predominantly retail players, and I would say to those retail players to stay in retail if you want item shops and paying for items in game. I realise none of those players care, but I can try.

Who wants to guess what will be in the Wrath item shop?

Btw, let’s cover the main cliche, passive and arrogant responses those few make who like to feel superior and above it all:
“People can spend their money how they like”
“LOL imagine being annoyed with how someone spends their money”
“Get a job and stop being so poor”

Edit: A user who posted reminded me of this one too “You don’t get too to control and decide everything, the toys are now part of the game and here to stay. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it, stop whining and go play something else!”

This one gets me the most xD.

Original TBC did have TCG mounts/pets etc though.

Do you have a CRT monitor and a 56kb modem? Because without it you won´t be able to relive true Classic experience you know?

Jees, HS animation …

Its not original TBC, it is a recreation. It won´t be completely the same, never again. Just like players won´t be the same, gaming community in general is in totally different place than it was in 2007. Time to finally accept it. You have multiple addons people didn´t have back then, people min-max like crazy, guides everywhere for everything, boosting everywhere.

You simply can´t go back in time, its impossible. You will never have the same feeling and passion about this game anymore. Even if it was totally the same as in 2007.

Know what else isn’t classic?

GDKP + endless mage boosting

The game has changed. People clinging onto “the classic experience” as any kind of reasoning are beyond delusional. Classic was never going to be like it was.

It’s not 2007 BC that is correct, its a recreation of BC not the original game.

Also the mount is probably the most appropriate mount of any expansion, back in 2007 I was kind of questioning why the eff I could not get a warpstalker as a mount.

Ya the animation for the thing is a bit goofy (the glide it does) I like using it, it’s different.

But… shop item bad, players ruining game economy good!

Couldn’t agree more

You forgot:

Blizzard changing game to prevent exploits/bugs. Blizz bad! No changes!

GDKP was actually in Vanilla, it just wasn’t very common. The same for mage boosting actually, not endless though as it is now of course as you say. I’m not going to mention your thinking/opinion of the “the classic experience”. The game is like it was or else I wouldn’t be playing.

They were so rare to see and you didn’t see them all the time though. Guessing you mean the companion pets, they were such a small model and I was ok with them myself.

Not sure why you phrased facts as a point, because that doesn’t mean we should have paid cosmetic items in game that are anything but small.

GDKP and mage boosting doesn’t ruin the economy, botting and RMT does.

Are you the kind of guy that wants the wow token because the economy has crashed because Blizzard themselves didnt prevent it? lol

I don’t care if the token comes or not same as I don’t care if they add shop mounts/pets/toys

I’ll just use it or ignore it.

Also if you don’t think RMT goes hand in hand with GDKP and boosting for gold you are kind of delusional.

Oh my, how could I have forgotten this one. I’ll edit my post to add it in.

You better do not complain when someone buys their gladiator boost for 500€, because they legimitely can and will do it

Of course i do, thats the issue. GDKP and boosting only exists because of the immense botting

I won’t trust me, because it does not affect me one bit

You do realise that the paid transfer wasn’t actually in classic for quite a while? So it’s not part of the true classic experience. There was a year without it.

I do and did realise that.

No one said that but ok. You’re just talking to yourself.
