So i have looked at delves and seen changes to spores dammaging ennemy opponents and all i can wonder is why…
I get that it is ment to be challenging. But Delves are for the players with limited time and by doing this change blizz only makes it slower. So a player with low gear and maybe a hour to play now sudently have to have 30 mins for each delve and gotta clear 8 on each character for 3 vault slots. That isnt Alt or Casual friendly. My character with 611ilvl uses 15 mins+ to clear one delve and thats with using spores to help kill multiple ennemies. So time will double… if this change goes trough can we have a lower requirement for Vaults?
Or just have the spore changes for 9 and up?. Would be nice if we kept it Alt friendly with this shortcut as i with limited time get to gear 2-3 characters at the same time now. But with the changes i likely gonna be getting gear on just one and that sucks in my opinion
(And for those who gonna say gearing should be challenging) yes gearing should be challenging and thats why crests is a thing for the heavier players. I will get my gear and go back to the soloing adventure and would like to do so with more characters than just one… it is just a change that isnt needed and makes it less fun and more time consuming and thats negative in my opinion.
False. Delves are for players that want to tackle dungeon-like content without a rushing go-go-go mentality and with increasing difficulty (up the ceiling of tier 11). The fact that speedrunners complete current delves in <10 minutes is simply a speedrunning issue and not the “default” way to play Delves. Currently I need around 20-25 minutes for most delves when soloing at Tier 8.
This is the same as before and more in line with the amount of time needed to fill the Dungeon row in the Great Vault.
I’m going to be honest man, I feel like once you complete the gear power you can achieve with t8’s, you should already be blasting through them. 619 is no joke at t8 level delve difficulty.
Blizzard also originally advertised it as a new gamemode available for both solo and group players that will be categorized under the world events (even tho they technically are instances), time investment wasn’t advertised in any meaningful capacity.
Whats more likely happening is that you are confusing how you view delves with what they’re intended to be.
AFAIK: They don’t follow you around anymore when they ‘start to explode’. Instead, they just stop that process when you move away from them. Also less of them move around in general. Lastly, and this is the part that the OP has an issue with; they no longer damage mobs.
Of course it’s the PTR. Things could still change.
Best change is that there are fewer of them when you fight the boss at the end.
This would be a silly thing to do as they are a tactic for quickly dealing with packs, especially ones Zexvir has charged up, and those annoying ones mounted on the lizards.
Ah, thanks for the info, that’s good news, especially the last boss of Fungal folly is a pain on my warrior, with almost the entire area blanketed with either Sporebits’ aggro radius or ground AoE…
I have no issue what so ever with the amount or them standing still. i have wiped several times against last boss because of the spores. My issue is that they no longer dammage mobs what so ever. idk if it is a bug or not. but when a spore hits a ennemy they lose 30%hp which is instantly restored once the ennemy lands. and i cant understand why they felt this change was needed.
One of the first interviews Blizz themself said that a Delve is for players who isnt hardcore and just wants a dungeon of sort that they can clear within 10 mins. So no it isnt a fantazy i made up about the content. but rather something they early advertised. And now the issue isnt that it takes more than 10 mins. but that we now are spending 30 mins because of carefull pulling to clear. then it sucks. But aparantly thats only my opinion and everyone else is fine with it
Aye and i spend about 15-20 mins. now thats with using mining carts and seeds to help dammage mobs down. we gonna get atleast 10-15 min increase in time needed to clear delve because of this change they did with spores and mining carts.
Fair, I havn’t seen that interview then. All I can personally find is the wording of the term short on the blizz news article of uncover the secrets of delves but it doesn’t give a frame of refference nor a hard expected cleartime. 10 minutes is only a thing if you’re doing t1’s when you’re done filling your gear slots but are trying to fill your vault for coins to buy runes with and with gilded dropping in higher tiers in S2 that’s not a delve endgame strategy anymore.
From what I can see from the update, you will still be able to lure enemies in them and detonate them which should help, at 615 ilvl even if they survive a few aoe’s and cleaves should quickly mop up the rest in seconds. Boss clear times would likely also improve as you spend less time in avoiding the spores though that might be less of an issue if you’re ranged admittedly, I doubt it’ll make times that much worse, esp once you start adapting your pull order and route to the new status quo.
