I’ve seen a few people writing off Herald of the Sun due to the lower damage and lack of ‘flashiness’ when compared with Templar but I genuinely think people are overlooking just how powerful Heralds are in Delves.
Brann Bronzebeard has a particular combat Curio called ‘Rage Filled Idol’ that provides him with a stackable damage buff at the cost of his health.
Herald pumps out some serious off healing when utilised correctly, with the right talents. If you use Wake of Ashes, followed by an Eternal Flame (Word of Glory) on Brann, the combined healing coupled with your Dawnlight ensures he is able to stay in the fight and continue to pump out incredible damage without needing to stop, turtle and heal.
Using Rage Filled Idol is THE best strategy for Healing specs within Delves, however due to the hefty damage taken by Brann, this particular Curio is not practical for any other DPS spec - except Herald.
Don’t overlook how powerful this is, especially if you’re planning on running Delves frequently throughout the course of the expansion.
